I was on holiday in Bavaria... they really do dress like that in normal life.. I was also in a 'oktoberfest' tent.... that was fun.. though the pretzels were €2,50  And there was a woman who drank 2 liters of beer all in once
but there was no Takeo Ischi :puppydog:

this was a bit off topic.. sorry

is this something available at Mitsuwa/Marukai mkt's? or is it a very special sake only at finer Japanese restartants? :headscratch:

you could probably buy it at a grocery store....since it's available online...there are various grades of course.....i had the junmai grade sake....not expensive or anything....but yeah it's not something i've purchased i had it at a restaurant....they probably carry it at many different japanese restaurants and grocery stores....i happened to drink it at Orris on Sawtelle Blvd. in the Micro-Japan area in West Los Angeles.

Not a big Sake fan here. But cheap Shochu out of a milk-carton-like container is OK when eatting KaniSuki or Tai.

mix the tea with the sake and then you get the best of both worlds.....nutrients and toxins all in one shot.

I've been buying lots of Sapporo biiru lately. The konbini near my home have it on sale. I think I'm the only one buying this stuff.

at least you support your local economy since it's made in Canada.....hehe....that's like Kirin Ichiban, proudly made in Los Angeles by Annhauser-Busch under license of Kirin Brewery....

Yeah, it kind of suck. At least I don't know what the real one tastes like, so it's not so bad.

The only beer I drank outside this country was El Presidente. Never saw it here.

Kind of like the Udon I bought the other day. Japanese labels, name, hiragana... all the stuff. Then I found out the company was in California and below it: made in Malaysia. An authentic Japanese product. :hehe:
