This just heard...

our new network admin, you remember the one that got promoted from help desk a few weeks back, and the help desk manager were ragging on some applicants who happen to come from ITT Tech.

Bear in mind that the hd manager doesn't know how to share a folder to the network. and the network admin only took a class on how to use MS Exchange, no formal training and got the job ONLY because he goes to the same church as the VP of IT.

On top of that BS, it's company policy NOT to talk about potential applicants in public... ie.. w/ doors open, or standing in the aisles as they are doing now.

gawd damnit he's an idiot..

the redhead is complaining that her computer is slowing down... he walks over and looks at the screen... and he says it's because of her internet radio taking up 90% of the CPU, that's why, and theres nothing that can be done. Then he walks back to finish his conversation w/ the help desk manager about how the Angel's baseball team is doing this season.

I go and check her task manager after he leaves....

First of all, her CPU is using only 18%.
Second, she's LISTENING TO HER iPod that's plugged directly into the speakers.

damn moron... :banghead: :banghead:

Sorrowful.

Though, I took today off, so my sorrow factor is effectively reduced by 20% over the entire week. :)

We're having a test of the reduce-power-when-Californians-must-have-their-A/Cs-at-full-blast-all-day initiative here.

Which got me thinking...what if an emergency happened during a test....would we care? or realize it's happening? :headscratch:
