Ahhhhhhh true say!

The one VP I can't stand is leaving in February! I hope the new one coming in will be good. The new one we got last year seems to be afraid of me.

So desu, I like my work, my team and my boss - but hate senior management and company culture, and all political entanglements.

Off to work now :shamefulcry: *takes her coat*

I'm hoping I can get a hospital job as a pharm tech...they pay way better, like ten dollars more than I make now. I just need my year's experience at this place I've been working at.

I dunno about the rest of you, but I found this week really hard. Getting up early enough was hard alone after the two weeks off, and of course getting back into the sing of things and getting used to the kids sucking out my life force. Mind you, this week did go by really fast. I guess there's always some sort of balance.
12 Jan 2008, 10:33 #5035
No problem for me. But I didn't have 2 weeks off. :beaten:

I'm so glad this week is over! I'm so sick of programming! It all starts when you get a bunch of busy/bitch work and you want to speed up the process with a macro or two and pretty soon everyone wants full on software! Ahh, the life of someone who isn't computer illiterate... :shamefulcry:

It's called getting back into the groove.

Today was the day that probation was supposed to end. But something funny happened. Another team merged with ours today and most everyone on the now huge team was put on probation (mine got extended). Here's the cool part, if we don't get the product delivered on time (there's a hard deadline imposed by some governmental organization) we all fail the conditions of the probation and be terminated. But there's no way possible that the project can be successful no matter how much time or how many people are thrown at it (barring a complete re-design and re-write). Because... it was architected wrong. :applaud:

The people that merged in with us don't quite know what to make of it. :bonk:

Oh... something was almost forgotten. We all got put on probation because while on it, transferring to a different department within the company is disallowed.

I'm considering turning in a 3 week resignation notice then going on vacation immediately. Gotta talk with some friends at Sabre and Northrup Grumman next week to see if they can get me job over there. Anything is better than this crap and abuse. :beaten:

Replying needs an account. Registration opens soon.
