sodesuka wrote:it is not fair.Life isn't fair. More or less a job.
sodesuka wrote:really cannot take it anymore. so misleading all the time. Why don't you quit? Unless it'll dramatically affect your finances, you could always quit. If you need the money, then why don't you look for a new job before quitting this one?
sodesuka wrote:i think they just like to take advantage of ppl and if they can get away with cheating ppl out of stuff then they keep doing it and don't give a flying hoot. i get nothing, nada, zippola, zilch. no vacation, no personal days, no sick leaves, nothing. if don't go to work then nothing.then it is worse, on and off have stuffs to do then there are days with no stuffs to do.Are you PT? Or are you FT? If you're FT, then you're entitled to vacation and sick leave after a certain amount of time you have served to the company. Job status has a lot to do with vacation pay and sick leave.
sodesuka wrote:not only that but won't let ppl get UI.Are you referring to "Unemployment income"? You have to be laid off in order to collect such compensation.
sodesuka wrote:totally stinks!!! companies don't want ppl to get UI so they try to make it hard for ppl and so they will "naturally" quit.A company needs employees in order to operate. It costs a company more to hire and train new employees than to retain the ones that they already have. Paying Unemplyment is costly, so of course a company will rather have an employee resign, rather than lay off. If the company were giving the employees reason to quit, then it possibly could be of two reasons.........
1) Why are they making the employees quit? Could performance be a factor?
2)If you're PT, then a company would only schedule you according to either your availability, or the need of man power. Or both. And having multiple PT workers with different availabilities could explain the odd scheduling.
(Which could explain your/the employee's feeling of the company "not wanting to pay you/themself")
If you'd like more hours, perhaps you could correspond with your manager and request to have yourself considered and scheduled with more hours than you're currently assigned to?
sodesuka wrote:it's a lot of schemes so they don't have to pay part of the UI. not fair. and they just keep dragging the whole situation out, by making you work one day and then the whole week off with no payAs The Man had suggested, why don't you talk to your manager regarding your concern on the way they schedule you? It could help. And if it doesn't, it's time to look for something new. :)
Good luck.
