The full wording of the term is "metrosexual".

It means a guy that lives in a city that, because they spend so much effort on their appearance (clothing, hair, nails, etc.), has the feminine characteristics of a gay male, but is heterosexual.

Actually, I've brought this up before... Have you seen some of the "guy" featured artistes?? They should ease up on the lipstick and hair coloring....

On a Talk Crap About Work Thread note, we're supposed to find out this or next week if our jobs are being sent to India. :grumble:

The employees have kept this company going through roughly 7 mergers and countless rounds of layoffs, with virtually no $$$ for training and no new equipment for years. And the reward? The CEO decided to cut costs further by setting up a shop in India and will start transferring jobs there in the next few months.

The employees have to pay for the mistakes of the executives. :banghead:

To try to look at it on the positive side all my friends who got outsourced ended up getting better jobs after they were let go. So I will hope you have the same success. :victory:

Well, when I say "show business" I am including everyone on a stage, whether it's a musical, opera, rock & roll, et cetera.

several people in the IT industry are telling me that they are trying to make india the next computer superhub of the world. outsourcing there is supposedly super cheap, and talent is in abundance (and they're willing to work for slave wages). are you in the IT industry?

i'm with you, dude. i really feel one of the biggest problems in corporate america today is the dang salaries/incentives of these fr*kin' executives. i survived six layoffs before quitting on my own, but don't ever remember hearing executives getting laid off. if they're to leave, they're 'forced' to retire w/ about $28million in stocks. what a raw deal. :shakehead:
