I had a car accident in my work car today :shamefulcry: I could absolutely kick myself for not being able to think straight and call the police to file a report before the broad left (there was no damage). After she left, I left and took my client home and made sure he was alright, then I reported it to my supervisor so it's documented before calling the police (if it's even necessary). Then I'm not sure if I documented the right street that intersected at that light but if it's wrong it's one block off. I got her plate number and a description of the car....

Pray for me guys, I screwed up with the documenting part :banghead:

Yeah, I have to do that tomorrow when I file the police report. It's either 9th and Potter Street, or 9th and Upland Street. I'm 75% sure it's Potter but again, I'm new and don't know the area....and all the street signs are bent.

I just felt frazzled and couldn't think straight at all.

That's totally understandable.

Everything before and after an accident always seems to happen so fast... you sorta wonder how you can deal with it at all...

I know: I've been in five different car accidents myself.

Give yourself some time to adjust. :)

Car accidents suck. I myself have been in 4. One more to catch up to bmw. Although I hope that will never happen. It does suck!
I can only second what bmw said.

I slept in a little today and I still have to take a shower and go into work  Luckily I have no set time to be there. But I'm really mad that I'm kinda sore this morning. I hope I just slept in a weird position or something :shamefulcry:

I'm free now and I need money. so the only thing I can do is work. But I can only get stupid jobs, that I hate.

It's probably some post-accident trauma/shock... The stress and all, y'know... If it gets worse, you might wanna get it checked out.

You said the accident was minor, ne? No damage on either car?

It was minor. Absolutely no damage on either car. I guess she hit me at a good angle, straight on with each bumper. Unfortunately I don't know the speed she was going, but she whacked me good. When I stopped at that light I was the only car there. So she was coming down the street and just didn't stop. So she probably hit me at 20-25 mph? So probably not that bad. But the way it felt I was shocked there was no damage.

I was required to go to Employee Health today and fill out a worker's comp form so it would be paid for if I had to get rx's, have more tests, etc. I was required to get checked within 24 hours, due to the nature of my job.

Anyway, this morning I felt like ass. Throughout the day I still felt like ass. I've had this headache I still have since 4:30 pm yesterday, with some occasional dizziness. I started having lower and middle back pain in random places sporadically, as well as the right side of my neck  I felt a little nauseous too :bleh:

I went in and got checked out. They pinned it as something like neck, lower, and middle back strain/sprain (from the 20-25 mph jolt). I got some Motrin 800mg. They offered me a muscle relaxer if I wanted to, but I opted against it because it would make me sleepy and I've never taken one before. Not sure if I'd need it.

I have to get an x-ray of my neck tomorrow and return to Employee Health in 1 week. But so far....I'm cleared for full duty although I feel kinda $h!tty still :woot: Hopefully it'll feel better tomorrow

KS315: hope you feel better soon! been in a few accidents (not as many as AC or bmw, thank goodness), but it's always a challenge to remain calm. hope things turn out well for you.

20-25mph?? Hard to believe there was no damage, considering that the shitty bumpers on most (all?) cars can barely pass a 5 mph bumper-basher test...

Yikes, sounds like a low-grade case of whiplash... Don't know if you want to pursue filing a claim with your/her insurance company... Might not be worth the hassle...
