It used to be a lot more fun. There was one guy that had just started at a big company. We got to know him from friends. He lived with 3 girls. The back room was the bedroom and the game room. They'd stay up late playing video games until they all crashed. Kind of cool to come over early in the morning and see what was going on. :bonk:

He's a big shot now with the company and we never get to see him any more. But we run into 2 of the 3 girls every so often.

i agree....because they get stereotypical roles that don't often capitalize on the actor's or actress' talent.


maybe because of wanting to protect her physical image from manipulation by the media and others who may want to take advantage of such pictures.

*About not taking photos, it's pretty akward for the declining but there can be a number of reasons for this. one POSSIBLE reason is that aya isn't as nice as we think she is :shakehead: She might be soo stuck up that she doesnt want fans to get pics with her. lol It's true that you can manipulate aya's pics if she took them with you but then again you can do that with almost any of her public photos with other people.


Freefall: I found that scan online =\ dont have it. I did buy some more mags and one has another aya in soccer clothes pic (with shimokita hair). not sure if anyone is interested in that stuff lol

Well, I havenLt seen her in Toky Drift, too. But actually the focus was only on the main, non japanese, actors only :shakehead:

ILm totally sure Aya is as kind and friendly as we all think she is. You can see that in all the interviews shows and other "backstage"-videos. She is always cheerfull and friendly. I think that no photos thing is something like Tricky said. Or her agency asked her not to take photos with fans. Maybe because of similar reasons.
If she were declining taking photos together because she isnLt as as friendly as we think why should she give autographs then? ;)

Are those soccer Shimok-Aya pics the ones over at uety cafe blog?

yeah i was totally speculating of course...i don't really know why should wouldn't take photos with fans...perhaps because of privacy concerns, perhaps for other reasons....when i used the term manipulate i was specifically referring to the fact that ppl could take pictures and maybe sell them to tabloids, magazines, or news outlets....whereas you can't really do that with an autograph...maybe she doesn't want the whole world knowing where she likes to kick it...again, i'm totally guessing, of course. as you said maybe she just doesn't believe in taking photgraphs wiith her fans. maybe she doesn't want to stop every 5 seconds to take a photo with someone because every knows who she is in japan and you KNOW everybody has a camera or camera phone, right! :hehe: who knows, tho?

Maybe but I think it must be for some other reason.....because it's those mere mortals with mere cash that make her weatlhy and it seems she understands that......
