I Agree Hanzo21.. It would be a step down.. Look at Jet Li I think His Best Performance are all Chinese Made. Disappointed in him American Films..No get me wrong, I love Lethal Weapon 4..Man He kicks A$$ as a Bad Guy.
Didn't hear anything. Just wishing Aya would make another action movie. Set it modern times. Maybe she's a spy or something.
Action movies for Aya?No doubt the Azumi series is nice but for a person who loved history, especially the Sengoku Jidai(or the Warring States of Japan) it was a weird experience for me.I mean. The infamous King of Ninjas,Hattori Hanzo(•ž•””¼‘ ) so easily killed? And what happened to the extraordinary war abilities of the great Sanada Yukimura(^“cK‘º)?And they make Azumi so powerful that I think that even if the greatest samurai in Japanese history Musashi Miyamoto(‹{Œ³•‘ ) will fall in her hands!!!There's a limit to adding fictional events into historical events. But Azumi just went overboard!
Anyway Aya look way nicer smiling then showing her angered face.Maybe action movies with many scenes of her cheerful look? That's going to look silly...
Learning English?Sorry fellow fans if I offended you in anyway but I see not much reason for her to learn it.I mean that career-wise,she had enough fans in Nippon alone to ensure that whatever albums or singles or dramas that come out will be a hit.Well of course learning English might be able to push her popularity to the heights of international stars like Jackie Chan but do she have plans to "invade" Hollywood?
I doubt its the idea of "invading" Hollywood, but as an actress maybe she feels she needs to expand her ability. It'll definitely allow her to play more types of characters and it will one day allow her to do international films
In terms of 'calculating' her future career development, you may be right. But what aya said is just about her personal interest. In fact, she's mentioned several times that she can't speak english and feels a little bit shame in the past. She wants to learn some english seems just for personal development (or may be affected by Becky, I don't know). Let's say, she's studying child massage, it's also only for personal interest. It seems that there's no relationship bewteen child massage and her career life. Of course, whether she has time to learn english is another question.
btw, she finished the filming of Rikouran in shanghai in Nov last year. So, I think she's stopped learning chi. right now, unless there's another film asking her to speak in chi. again.
Becky?IF you are talking about David Robert Beckham the soccer player then I have lots of things to discuss about him!All my soccer fans are so engrossed with DOTA!!!No one to discuss with...

Becky is one of Aya's most closest friend. If you've seen her Ace wo Nerare, you'll see Becky making special appearance in there.
Becky is half white (not sure what kind) and half Japanese.
Becky is probably the best person at the moment to teach Aya some english.
Reincarnation?I thought reincarnation was believed only by Buddhists,Muslims and Taoists only? From what I think...(Is Aya a Christian?I seen many photoshots of her wearing a saint cross...)But it's rather weird. Not to say that the 'o-bo-san' is lying.(God pls forgive me for these disrespectful words) but do Christians believe in reincarnation?I am rather confused. Why will a Christian(or I assume...is a Christian) seek the words of a monk?
Hahaha~~~~ I don't think aya's a Christian. If you notice the fashion of other artists in Japan, wearing saint cross is simply part of fashion (Amuro Namie and Ayu also wear cross all the time).
In fact, religion in Japan is quite special. Strictly speaking, most japanese don't have their religious belief. They'd have wedding ceremony in western or shintaoist style, and have funeral in buddhist style. Instead of religion, it's just custom. May be similar situation in HK.
So, just take easy even aya believes the monk's words (well, we even don't know whether she believes the words or not. It's just a show.)

Another silly and totally out-of-point question by me?Any of you tried ”[“¤(fermented soybeans) and actually liking how it tastes?Seems like Aya-san likes Natto(another assumption by me,thanks to that what U-Style show on her) and maybe I can like...try it out.No harm trying anyway right.Besides, natto is good for our health courtesy to info by Wikipedia. But the infamous fame of ”[“¤ got the better of me-its smell.Any solutions to help me eat it up?(Try forcing it down my mouth, but it backfired...)

I tried Natto sushi and was only able to down 4/6 pieces while at the sushi restaurant and the 4th one almost made me threw up :beaten: :beaten:
I ordered 2 servings worth so I had to down 5/6 the next day.....my mom tried one and just spit the natto sushi out of her mouth.
It has a VERY!!!!!! strong smell to it and that can factor in on your chances of successfully eating it :beaten: :beaten: :beaten: :beaten:
I like it when they give Hawaiian Histories in Attention Please and how they reenact it. Like the Part when after Aya was learning Hula from Hawaiian Japanese girl (Riza), they went to the beach and Riza was talking about Kama-puaa (played by Tsutsumi Shuusuke) which is a Demi-God that can turn from a man to a pig and the Goddess Pele (played by Aya) wife Kama-puaa . Funny story

Never tried Natto yet.. everytime I see it.. Looks like barf..I think I might have to be drunk to try it . Maybe someday. You guys tried Poi yet? The one Aya Tasted in ATTENTION PLEASE SP. It taste way better with Sugar.

 Ok that's kind of demoralising.Maybe I eat it up while pinching my noses. That way its taste will not be that strong anymore. But is that considered eating Natto? No way!!!Wow.Th exotic foods of Japan seems to be very very hard to stomach...
OMG :omg: ! :grumble: It's the MONK who talks about reincarnation, not Aya !!! Whether she believes in it or not we don't know ! Chirstians do NOT believe in reincarnation, for muslims I don't know, nor for taoism. (hm and as far as i know, confucianism doesn't raise up this question). Yes Aya-san is catholic (one of the 2 forms of christianism), like many japanese people, but that doesn't interfere with many cultural beliefs. For info, buddhism is not really a religion but rather in philosophy :grumble: so, one can be catholic, believe in buddha, and also believe in shintoism. Well I almost know nothing about shintoism though.
@jinzo : oh. This goes pretty far. I kinda always felt aya's mom must have seen a lot of hard things, and yet she remains so strong/ stable, when I saw a few pics of her and saw that she praised aya's devotion at work. Dunno about her dad, just got only one pic of him, and I never read anything from him. Haha he must be very glad. But the revelation of that little blind indonesian girl, hm well it's unexpected. Well I didn't know Aya-chan was able to recognize things by their smell, that's why xD.
I quite understand the concept of reincarnation, though I don't know the details, not enough to believe it or not. For example I wonder : how come the total poppulation on earth grows bigger when there is reincarnation ? Plus, I remember that only those who are not ready to reach the nirava get reincanated. So there is more and more souls who aren t not ready ? Dunno ><.
About aya's acting career. I think anyways learning english might be a plus for her. For example recently a chinese who studyed in france, Dai Sijie (he is a good novelist I read some of his books, he writes directly in french) has adapted one of his novels on film => The daugthers of the botanist. (french title : Les filles du botaniste) For a reason I won't develop here (tabvoo subject) the movie, whose scenes takes places in the chinese moutains of guilin, was shot in Vietnam. So u had French production team, vietnamese workers on spot, and chinese and french actors ><. (plus u has french form france and french canadian people). So it was a mess to understand each other. Fr team had to explain to vietnamese workers and to chinese actors (only one chinese actor, an mature man, spoke english) Dai Sijie alternated between french and chinese lol. AND actors had to explain among themselves ... in ENGLISH ! Though the french actor's english was pretty bad, it was judged way too fast by the chinese actors. Well they managed it somehow with translators, but the shooting was funny to see : french actor speaks in french, and chinese one responds to him/her in chinese =). When the movie was completed, u had 2 version : a chinese one with real voices of the chinese actors, and a french one with real voices of french actors. Incredible ne ?
So please people keep in mind that cinema doesn't always match with hollywood. Cinema as an art is most of the time out of hollywood. And near Aya there are many artists realisator, such as Zhang Yimou for example, numerous prizes in Berlin, Venise etc. And Dai Sijie too. There's also wong kar wai (though I don't really like his "2046"). Many ppl out there. There's also realisators of Infernal Affairs. One of them did work recently with korean superstar Jeon Ji-Hyun on the movie "Daisy". So if JJH doesn't speak cantonese nor mandarin, at least evreyone speaks english. Langage on a shotting stage is ENGLISH : "ACTION ! " is a universal word.
So, if it's Aya's will to learn english, please respect her wish, which I gladly hear. Haha if that could bring someday Aya-chan to Berlin film festival or Venise Festival or at Cannes for a meaningfull movie, that's such a little effort to make in comparison. And I won't complain  Aya-chan at Cannes :woot:.

Let's put a halt to what language Aya is going to learn and about that reincarnation stuff shall we?It's beggining to feel as if we have nothing better to discuss about and must use the slightest of subjects as the main topic. But then again...any new news on her?

Yep POI <--Hawaiian Word is made from the popular taro plant. It's the Hawaiian's Staple food. Like to Asians rice. Poi was traditionally enjoyed with fresh fish, seaweed, breadfruit and sweet potato -- an incredibly tasty and nutritious meal. And when it came to eating poi -- fingers were the utensil of choice. One, two, or three fingers to scoop out the pudding -- two finger poi was considered the best! And many Hawaiians loved their poi fermented a bit, giving it a unique, slightly sour taste. Aya face was kinda holding back on the poi but I guess for a Natto Eater that shouldnt be a problem eating poi. Would have been cool if she eaten it with her 2 fingers though. :)
