Not sure if I replied already, but I got an 8mbit line: which results in 850k/sec downstream, 100k upstream.

I was going to participate in a local ADLS2+ test (24mbit), but they just couldn't convert my line and even managed to kill my phoneline on the way, resulting me internetless for 2 months this summer :beaten:  that was so frustrating...

$39.95 + tax, etc.

i haven't found a provider that services my area that's cheaper and has the same or higher level of service.

not that i need the bandwidth... really, but it'd be nice.

I use Comcast cable. I think it's $45/mo now that I think about it. They only recently bumped up the DL to 6mb. I'm surprised it's not available down there.

i dont live in Comcasts' area otherwise, i'd have signed up with them.

we're serviced by Charter and they have a fabulous 512k/128k for a mere $29.95! +$10 if you aren't a cable subscriber. :grumble:

Now that's bad service. I think SBC DSL is faster than that. What's up with Charter?? :shakehead:

Charter is stupid. I had the service before, and i dumped it.

SBC is an option, but it wont be any improvement.. maybe i'd save $5.

Cable at home and 5mbps (or is it 6?) phone line based at work.
Max download speed is 580kb/s.

Too bad the bandwidth limit is 10GB/month.
