Yeah, it was kind of sad, I've never seen anybody that upset before. :puppydog:

Was she really that upset or just doing that for dramatic/comedic effect?

well i take that back, microwaving korean kaibi would be one.
im a dry rub/vingegar mop bbq pork kind of guy, i wouldn't consider what they did, real bbq.
Why would it be uniquely wrong to microwave Kalbi, as opposed to any other meat or rib dish? Microwave ovens ought to be delegated to the trash-heap of culinary history. They are anti-cuisine, an abomination. Just my opinion, of course, but I happen to be right on this.
I won't argue over what can be considered "real" barbeque -- that wasn't what lost the round. It's perfectly legit to parboil pork ribs, then glaze them in an oven, smoker or over a grill.
The barbecue sauce on last week's Dotch looked terrible. I would've chosen the tuna collar based on that alone. Then the rib chef made another mistake, and tried to grill the sauced ribs on a griddle. You can't achieve any kind of glaze that way.
Also known to most of the outside world as DePortland :hehe:
No Dotchi, no J-doramas (as the new AZN TV took the entire thing off and replaced it with constant repeats of anime and some other programs that I didn't sign up for :usuck: ) and repeats of popjapantv from the past 2-3 years....
they even show Chinese and Korean shows on public access, but nothing of real interest on the J-variety/doramas...really sucks lately being in the backwater state on the west coast :shakehead:
well, I guess there are the few remaining vid shops still in existence, although one just bit the dust earlier this year....
no decent ramen shops, all the great J-restaurants, except for one Izakaya style waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out in the sticks, have gone bye-bye in the sucky economy...along with most of the J-hi-tech firms that evaporated after the IT bubble burst...
feel like Robinson Crusoe, or Gilligan's Island sometimes with all the declining access to J-stuff :grumble:
oh well....that's life in Tattoine II.... :)
