My boss for ITEC lol wants me to a directing job in Philly.. would get paid for that.. Or I might get this job back at the old Best Buy, but I would not work for them just work with another company.

if I do the video job that lands $700 in my pockets..

which would give me..

$1,211 :applaud:

lol still not enough to go to Japan with.

how long you planning on visiting again? $1,200.....hmmm not including the air fare and accomodations, that might last you a week or more, but you are including all of that in your vacation trip budget, maybe double that amount for a week in japan, it really depends on how much the airfare/accomodations/JR-pass, and how long your trip will be.

as far as the ATM fees, i used it once to take out some extra cash during my first trip to japan, forgot the fee amount, probably wasn't too much though. :bonk:

The only problem is trying to remember what you saw the next day. :hehe:

yeah, drinking in japan was cool, unfortunately, my friend and i didn't get a chance to hit the bars/clubs in Roppongi, have to do that next time. Did get a chance to try to good sake at this one restarant. A big bottle for two of Sake for 1200 yen, that and a good Shabu Shabu dinner.

I remember at one of the stations, it was past 10pm, and there were so many drunk and woozy people out in the streets laughing and having a good time, and all this on a Wednesday night, in Shinjuku, they know how to party! :bonk:

Of course, I'm sure that she'd love to hang out, as she's in your area... You are already friends, so it shouldn't be awkward... you write to each other... and have regular communication, so I'm sure she'd like to have a little tour guide... and it's fun to hang out with folks that you're getting to know...

I guess she and i are sorta email friends, but i only talked to her for 10 min's. I met her in this restarant since she was my server. I had just met her when i asked her for her email address. I was a bit surprised when she replied back the first time. And we have been exchanging emails recently. I know of her trip when she told me that one day. I don't think it would be awkward for me to meet up with her, i would love to meet her again and hang out, but i am not sure if she has the time since she is staying/visiting friends that are from here. I am also wondering if she will reply to my email and contact me, i suppose she would if she were open to meeting up with me next week. I am sure that she is somewhat familiar with the general areas since she has been here once before plus she has her friends that will probably show her around again. yeah, i am sure it would be a lot of fun to hang out again with her, if i get the chance to, but nonetheless, i wished her a good vacation trip via email.

aiming for about a week, so $2000 would take care of it all no?

Anyone know if they have shuch a thing?

Instead of calling the Spa like I did last time, I just need to make a quick call to see if this Voip is working right.

let's see...
mine was..
now just for me, my friend had his share of his costs.

$840 airfare
$267 JR pass for seven days
$350 (for 7 nights my share of the accomodation cost, 2 beds 1 room)
$300 food/snacks(estimate)
$600 souvenirs/misc.

keep in mind the accomodation costs for two people were roughly $700 for an avg of $100 per night for a week, estimate cost.
I did spend quite a bit on souvenirs, but it was worth it, $100 plus on j-idol photobooks alone, and $200 plus on J-anime figurines...
so as you can tell from my so-called japan trip budget, i spent roughly $2,300 plus for seven days. If i could, and i had the money, i would do it again, without thinking about it, Japan is my #1 destination place.

Your budget will be of course, different than mine, but you get the idea. As for food, some meals were really cheap, under 500 yen, a meal at Lawson or Family Mart, you get the idea, some where expensive, Shabu Shabu dinner could run as high as 10,000 yen for two people at a nice restarant. :bonk:

just Bring $2,500 that should take care of it all... if not them I'm being robbed!

and on the side note.. do you happen to know any automated phone number in japan? I need to make a test call but I don't want to call the places I called before

eh?!? come again?!
what do you mean an automated phone # in japan? test call for what if you don't mind me askin'
another suggestion, buy a phone card for calling Japan, can get it at an Asian Market, and ask for phone cards, for calling japan, did buy one last time, think it is $10 for 30 min to call japan.

$2500, yeah that's good for you, probably not enough for me, if i wanted to splurge on j-idol and anime and other j-goods. i'd say probably $4000 plus for two weeks, or more. Now if you are going to stay a month or longer, even live there,(that's my ideal anyways), then probably want to start budgeting after awhile, by then, probably would've built up my j-hobby collections.

it's only 2.5 cents a min for me to call japan, I want to make sure it works, and by automated I mean something without a live human picking up the phone when I call.

I'm just going there to have fun and take alot of photos like I said no less then 1,000 pictures, all the pictures I've seen on google are sub-par pictures..

yeah, give it a try and call, 2.5 cents/min, that is cheap.

yeah have fun, go to shibuya 109 building in Shibuya and go up the escalator and enjoy the eye candy and music. after you are done go back down and sit down in front and relax and snap away if you want. Elsewhere, i am sure you will find more j-girls as well as temples, and other unique cool japanese stuff. I also took a lot pix of Vending machines, i just love those things, wanted to take a few home with me along with a few cute j-girls, just wishful thinking. :naughty:

Heh, my exGF wanted to go to Japan with me but was afraid that I'd get hit on by too many femme nihonjin and I'd take off with one of them and dump her. :naughty:

Hopefully my new GF won't be so insecure when we visit next April.

So your ex-gf wanted to go to japan with you, wouldn't that be odd, or where you two dating at the time of the proposed trip to japan?
Hell, i'd say that she was feeling overly insecure, but there are a lot of hot j-girls everywhere. I'd say she had her issues, yeah hopefully with the new gf, that won't even be an issue. :bonk:

Heh yeah that would be fun, I just can't find a number to call to test this out.

I can't find the picture of that huge vending machine.. I found it on google.. had to been like 50 inches long or so..

just call a hotel in narita or something and inquiry about availablity for your upcoming trip, not sure which numbers you can call, go do a search online. good luck.

a what? big pix on vending machine, this i gotta see, i should post some of mine from my trip... :bonk:

I mean the machine was so friken big you could walk inside it to replace the items.. I wish I really could find it again, I happen to find it when I starting looking up things about Japan about 2 years ago.

I will try but I have a hard time hanging up, so i gotta work on that :)

eh? hard time hanging up? you mean about online? are you on dial up or something?

yeah, so what kind of vending machine was it? mainly, the only ones i really saw were Drink vending machines, some cigarette ones, a few beer ones, and other ticket-food ones you can buy to redeem for the meal. I haven't really seen any other weird ones, but they got tons and tons of those vending machines, i think i should start a documentary or photo online journal of those things, j/k, i should just do it for my pix of japan.... :bonk: :beatyou:
