Did you buy that from the eki (station), or the carts that the ladies push in the train? It looks oishii by the way.

i think i did see the ones at the eki, but didn't buy it there. I got it from the ladies pushin' the carts on the shinkasen. Good stuff.
what is oishii btw?

too bad didn't get a pix of the young ladies pushing the carts, would've added to my collection of everything japanese... :hehe:

I like how polite they are. They bow when entering and exiting a car. You seriously don't need to get up to eat. It's fantastic.

Well... I do have a rather long list of things to see this time. And I won't stay in Tokyo the whole four weeks because of that.

Wow, one month in Japan. Are you planning to attend the World Expo?

Actually, no. I've already Hiroshima on my list, then Chiran and Kaseda near Kagoshima on Kyushu, and I want to visit Musashi's cave, his grave, then Hattori Hanzo's grave, Sakai Saburo's grave and the graves of the 47 ronin... and maybe spend a night in Kyoto on the way back to Tokyo.

Is food on the shinkansen expensive? I havent had the chance to use it yet, but I will after 1 week.. btw, I decided to go to Tokyo (from Fukui pref - north coast above nagoya) by bus... its very cheap 8000yen, (instead of 13000 or so by train) and it runs at night. I'll be earlier in Tokyo than by train, and I dont waste time since its during my sleep.

i remember on how they would bow when entering/exiting a car, it was cool because i was not used to that. You just don't see any of that formality here. Yeah lunch served right to you. I remember the serving girls uniform vividly in my head, and she might've wore a cute hat in an all light purple color uniform. just wish i had a pix to show you all, perhaps next time.... :hehe:

not that expensive, about a 1000yen, about a little over $9. and it is very healthy and delicious. I didn't really use the bus in Tokyo, but i did use it quite a bit in Kyoto going around town. Yeah Nagoya to Kyoto, i think it was about 45 min by Shinkasen.
next time to japan, look into the JR pass, saves you a lot of money, and it is cool, all JR trains are paid up with the JR pass within that 7, 14, 21 day pass. And you can also take the Shinkasen too, but i think the Hikari line is good, but heard that nozumi line will not work for the JR pass.
any questions, ask around, sure there will be others that will know more info on it. :bonk:

4 weeks in Japan!!!, now that is a vacation!, have fun and take a lot of pictures and meet some nice j-girls. Visit Hakone and see lake ashi and mt. fuji area. Also go to Shibuya and Shinuju and see the busy city life!
if you are into anime or just curious about it, go to Akihabara, it is huge!
Also, in Kyoto, visit the Golden Pavillion and Gion District at night to see Maiko/Geisha walking around. :bonk: :applaud:
