After the INS interview tomorrow regarding my wife's status, she wants to go back to Japan for 3 months if possible. Too bad I won't be able to go along. *sigh*

there im again, not being online for some 2/3 days, excuse me for that. Yesterday and today I didnt really do anything, because I am not feeling well... yesteday i had a feever, headache... my eyes hurt and i was freaking tired. I had 2 appointments with friends, so we took a quick visit to the emperial garden and after that i went back to the hostel and hopped in my bed. I slept from 16.00 to 9:30 but today i am still not so good. Especially my throte (spelling????) hurts like hell... I have been eating sweet candy all day to soften the pain :( Drinking those pocari sweat drinks and asahi super h2o etc is also relaxing to the throte. But anyway, i think my voice is like below hearable frequency so i should sleep early again tonight.

So I visited akihabara 2 days ago, it was really the best until now! I really loved the electronic stuff they have there, and wow are there many actionfigure shops! Ive been hanging around there for half the day.

oh and btw, the picture you posted, of the 109 building (qilver), i passed the tile you sat on by 3 meters probably :) But i actually didnt go into the building because it was like 'kids' and 'girls' and everything so it didnt really look like something i was the targeted audiance of. SO i went on looking for the other 109 building, which i entered without checking what it was. And like every floor i got to, there was an index saying 'girls dress girls dress girls dress girls dress', so after a few floors I gave up. There were lot of cute girls there, but just walking there as the only guy in the building made me feel like a hentai, so i went out. :)

talking about girls in suits... the cutest jgirls would probably those advertising for vodafone, or the lottery. Damn are they hot. I asked one at the vodafone stand for a picture, but she said she had to ask wether it was allowed, and it wasnt. -_- I probably could take pictures without them knowing, but that makes me feel perverted again, and thats somehting i cant live with unfortunately ;).

okay.. i got to go again cya! I dont know whn ill update my gallery so hang in there...

Extending what qilver said, here's the page: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2024.html. I have never rented a car from Japan, so I wouldn't know if they had bike rentals.

thanks, i did find some info searching that site.

so, you saw a lot. Damn, that's too bad you are got sick, hopefully you can rest up and get well soon. You need the energy to walk a lot. Lemon Water, Aquirius, Calpis, Super H2O, they all can help and soothe your throat. What did you think of Shibuya? did you see a lot of Kogals? and schoolgirls, they were everywhere, esp. in shibuya109.
did you see all the anime shops i mentioned? they where everywhere down that one main street. I could spend all week there in Akihabara alone, not to mention other areas in Tokyo. I remember seeing the displays of Yu Yamada on Vodafone, i took a few quick pix of them walking by, but there were so many of them. She is so popular, along with Aya-chan.
Yeah, i can remember going up that escalator, there were other guys going up when we were there, so i didn't feel all to bad. But yeah, a lot of cute j-girls everywhere. I enjoyed shibuya and the surrounding areas. It would have been to take clear video, but i didn't bring a video cam.
but, here is the few pix i took. I asked this one nice j-girl working in a shop on the 3 or 4 floor, and she accepted and smile, said some japanese words, and said "souvenir" and smile. The lighting in the photo could be adjusted by photoshop, but i have not done that yet. So, post where you are going to head next in Japan, and let me know where you go and visit, there is so much to see, and so little time, when in your case, a lot of time since you are staying awhile. :applaud:

@supermidget,
did you ever get a chance to hook up with that girl you took the pix with on the train? that girl must've been very friendly and nice. Do you speak a little japanese? how did you communicate with her, with little english?

have you visited Kyoto yet? and other areas in Japan like Hakone?
a pix, a reminder of the train stations and all that walking to and from, up and down the stairs, so many stairs, and we all wonder why the japanese are so fit and trim, all that walking and good japanese food. :applaud: :hehe:

yeah..staying with a host family in hiroshima. It:s nice...the keyboards dont have apostrophes here...uhhh....man...it:s hot..so...right now..it:s not very fun while walking to places. So far, I bought 2 totoro stuffed animals, one doraemon stuff animals, and a bunch of Buddhist stuff. Money is going down the drain. Ramen is great here, but small. I:m gonna eat sato(?) which is unagi (eel) tonight. Haven:t had the chance to go to Pachinko parlor or pick up a boken (sp? Kendo sword?) Also still havent had the chance to get some takoyaki which I heard is good in Hiroshima. Uhhh....i:ll keep you guys updated later..maybe pics...I:ll be leaving Hiroshima for Tokyo on the 8th to meet up with my friend and another host family, but for only 4 days, then I:ll go back to America. Any suggestions for Tokyo? I:ll probably go to Tokyo Dome City on the same day...so...anything there?

i didn:t visit other places besides Sabae and Tokyo now.. and i wont travel outside tokyo, so its just that.

btw im feeling a bit better now... i think its because i joined some people in getting drunk yesterday at the hostel whahaha ;) i got actually pretty wasted lol. luckily no hangover though hehe :D beer and vodka seem to cure everthing

that's too bad that one japanese girl never contacted you again, even after a 30 minute talk in "japanese", quite impressive, and very helpful, i don't think i can manage a few words in Japanese, but i will learn eventually.

There is so much to see in Tokyo, it is massive and would take weeks if not months to see a good part of it.

Cool, that you got to hang out and meet some new people at the hostel, drinking can be a time of hanging out and bonding, unfortunately, didn't get the chance to hang out with the locals, since i was a tourist and knew no one in Japan. :hehe:

me too. I only stayed a week each time i went to japan, which was twice. And a week is definitely not long enough, but it can be expensive staying a month or longer, unless you stay at a hostel or know somebody.
31 Jul 2005, 01:34 #1699
yeah.. a month would be real week.. Man if I win some money, first thing I'm doing is going to Japan, no if's ands or but's!

yeah, a month a week, a year would be a few weeks, when is long enough? good luck in trying to win some money, regardless, make your next trip to Japan, there will be no regrets there. Japan is the place to visit. :applaud:
