Aside from Duncan and that troll Iverson, the rest of those guys are wannabes...
The REAL Dream Team was in Barcelona 1992... They schooled everyone in a big way...

eltinator wrote:USA basketball is on TV right now! At least here in the bay area it is. I watched a few minutes of the game vs argentina and that's the first time I've ever seen US basketball play and let me tell you, this is the most sorry excuse for a USA basketball team that I've ever seen. Duncan was out of the game and US had NO inside presence whatsoever. Isn't this supposed to be the dream team? Let's just hope it's a dream...
I honestly don't consider anyone on this team a "great" player aside from Duncan. I know a lot has been made of Duncan and AI but would you really want Iverson playing PG? On top of that, the starting SF is ODOM! LAMAR ODOM?!?! Are you serious?!?! That right there spells trouble. He's like the most overrated player in the game. Ok fine maybe not "most" but one of them. Next you got the former Phoenix Suns and we all know how good that is -_-. My friend was saying that USA might have a better chance with the Pistons as the dream team and I concur with that.
Anyways sorry to bash on the USA dream team, but I'm just extremely disappointed with the lack of talent that isn't on this team. I know a lot of players turned them down and I can't really blame them since an NBA championship is worth much more than a gold medal but I really gotta feel sorry for Larry Brown and what he has to work with. So many young kids who aren't even solid stars in the NBA  If in fact US does take gold, consider it a steal.

Better yet, send the Warriors to Europe. One way. :hehe: :hehe:
This game is fun to watch... Nothing like seeing these "stars" get owned on the world stage... :hehe:
