Earlier today I watched Kagayaku Onna - Ueno Juri with subs. There was great insight into Juri-sama the person, and made me review (in my head) all the characters she had played in her works. Indeed she resembles Nodame somewhat - she had always known what she wanted (to be an actress/kindergarten teacher) and worked hard at it. Both had an underlying stubbornness and want to do things their way. The constant reference to food served to reinforce this impression.

I couldn't get over how mature she was towards her career. While I've always known that she's not just a pretty face, I wasn't expecting this degree of maturity from a 20-year old.

The narrator of this program said that Juri-sama picked home-stay in a rural family to spend the bulk of her vacation. If this is true then I have even more respect for Juri-sama.

No fan of Juri-sama's should miss this program, now that it is subbed. And if you are not yet a fan, watch this program anyway and you may find yourself converted.

I agree on all counts.

She's unbelievably, remarkably mature for a 20-year old, yet she can be adorably girlish too: the "Hazukashii" scene comes distinctly to mind.... :D

Kagayaku Onna offers some incredible insight into Juri-chan's personality and career motivation... It's a must watch. :victory:

I haven't checked, but it's being uploaded, which means I have easy access whenever a new one is up! Same goes for a few other dramas that I want to see that are up!

>>excited<<

I didn't know the server was so up-to-date.

That won't do me any good either... Unless I drive over to my mom's house and have her translate...

No way. :shakehead:

That's a nice one. Has Genma shown any inclination to put them up?
