just finished eps 1,2
nice j-drama so far...Juri does a great job acting in it... :applaud:

Just finished watching, and doing screen caps of, "Summer Time Machine Blue". While this is no epic it certainly entertains me - but then any movie/drama feathering Ms. Ueno will elevate my spirits. You can judge for yourself when I post the screen caps.

This is the last batch of screen caps from the "Engine" promotion special, and marks the end of screen caps from "Engine". Thank you all for bearing with me.

My next project will be screen caps from "Chirusoku no Natsu", Ms. Ueno's big screen debut.

"Chirusoku no Natsu" - a brief synopsis

Also known as "The Stars Converge", this is a movie about puppy love with a dash of friendship and politics thrown in. The story was set around an annual event - a track-and-field meeting between 2 cities, Shimonoseki in Japan and Pusan in South Korea. The heroine, Iko (Mizutani Kiri), met a boy in the meeting in 1977 held in Pusan, and reacquainted with him in next year's meeting in Shimonoseki. A romance blossomed between the two but did not come to term due to various reasons.

The friendship part was played out by interaction between Iko and her 3 best friends, Mari (Ms. Ueno), Tomoe, and Asami. They all took up a different event in the track-and-field meeting.

The politics part refer to strained relationship between Japan and South Korea, leading to the event being terminated after 1978. In fact Iko later worked hard to re-establish this event and succeded in 2003.

The title of the movie refers to 7th July, which is known as 'Tanabata' in Japan and 'Chirusook' in Korea. Legend has it that on this day 2 stars, situated on either side of the Milky Way, are joined by a bridge of birds for one day.

do you by any chance have the subs for Chirusoku no Natsu?

Sorry, I don't. In fact I don't think there are subs. The DVD I bought (an original!) was flawed in that it doesn't even display Japanese subtitles. :banghead:

Just received my copy of "Kame wa Igai to Hayaku Oyogu". A busy weekend looms ahead...

As soon as they have settled down in their dormitory our girls get permission from their teacher to explore Pusan. Here they are getting ready to go out on their venture.

Theme song from episode 4 ('Slot') of "Tsubasa no Oreta Tenshitachi" performed by Nakashima Mika:

Tsubasa no Oreta Tenshitachi – Hitori

This song can be heard 20 minutes into the episode, at the scene where Ryoko (Ms. Ueno's character) met her boyfriend on the street and proceeded to slap him in the face.
