anybody seen ueno in the film Arch Angels?

After looking through the entire thread (while I'm supposed to be studying for my exams), I realised that she seemed to look different before. So different I almost couldn't recognise her...although in certain angles I can. I think it might have to do with her face looking sharper now as opposed to rounder before?

Ueno is a very good actress indeed...She also has an aura of natural beauty. She can look pretty without much make up. I really like that :D

Yeah, I watched it just a few days ago. As always, Ueno did a fine job. This movie was very strange.

Ueno played a superheroine, with some serious martial art skills, and at one point, was the size of Godzilla.

I would recommend it just for it's weirdness.

Ah yes, Tsubasa No Oreta Tenshitachi aka Fallen Angels.

She's in episode 4. There's only 4 episodes, it's some sort of short story film. Episodes 3 and 4's english subs only came out just 2 months ago, alot of people been waiting...

I suggest you all enjoy all the episodes.

no i was referring to Arch Angels aka Warau Michael....it's a film, not a drama. the drama you are referring to is entirely different.

Welcome to the club. Ms. Ueno is very versatile indeed, and very attractive as you pointed out. The change in her face is probably due to the natural process of growing up - she was barely 17 when "Swing Girls" was being produced, and just turned 20 while "Nodame Cantabile" was in production. A few years make a lot of difference to a teenager.

Other than Ms. Ueno, Kanjiya Shihori seems to be the most active (in the thespian sense), closely followed by Motokariya Yuika. Kanjiya is casted in the latest Taiga drama, Furin Kazan; while Motokariya's latest drama "Boku no Aruku Michi" finished airing at the end of last year, but has a couple of movie releases too.

Those girls, not to mention the boy Hiraoka Yuuta, keep popping up from time to time. It's fun for me to spot them here and there too.

Apparently Ms. Ueno is going to be featured on a NHK TV programme on 13th Feb. Is there anyone in Japan who would help by recording this programme and uploading it somewhere?

yUP! i'm thinking to get the DVD...i should have watch it in my university when they were showing it for the month...now, that i'm graduated, no longer can borrow it from uni...

Let's not forget Shiraishi Miho, who played the brass band director in Swing Girls. She's been pretty busy also. Do you remember the OL slut in Densha Otoko..yeh that's her. How about Orange Days? Yep she's in that as well. And Suppli and Nodame Cantabile...

Yeah I know! I'm just suprised she looks so different. I don't think she would be the type to have a surgery of sort. At least it's gone for the better! :D

In all her collaborations with Ms. Ueno, Shiraishi's character was always taking care of Ms. Ueno's character. Karma? Or just the scriptwriter's habit...
