Maybe Juri-chan is still in character... She seems to have a tendency to do that... :)

Yeah.. this was my thinking as well.. she really gets into her roles... I've only seen a few bits where I thought we were seeing the 'real' her.

She's all energy, spirit, and uber-cuteness... :smitten:

With all these new Juri fans sneaking in here, I wouldn't be suprised if at least one of them was the young lady herself, masquerading as some commoner, like the rest of us.

She gets better advertising here than her agent could ever provide :victory:

I have to say, I'm really looking forward to seeing ep. 4 of Tsubasa no Oreta.. it's been a while since I've seen a dark haired Juri :muack:

I really wish she had something wonderful and new coming out right about now :puppydog:

Isn't Naoko supposed to be coming out on DVD soon? It'll give me something to hold over while I wait for the next Juri-chan drama :victory:

After watched Last Friend yesterday, I think I still prefer her in Nodame. She is so adorable in Nodame but yet so matured in Last Friend~

Her smile is such a best medicine yet :smitten:

Have you seen all of her dramas/movies? At least the subtitled ones?

That crashing noise is the sound of us all scurrying to gain her possible virtual attention. .....

This is old, but I was totally shocked anyone would list Juri in the "Ugly celebrities" thread over at D-addicts!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but saying she's ugly just surprised me.. I think she's the most naturally good-looking celebrity I've seen in a long time (maybe ever).

What a freaking moron... Lemme check that out. *takes baseball bat along*

It's like I posted before, in terms of looks they don't look alike at all, but I just find them to be alike in terms of personalities. :victory:

I've seen a few Kim Ha-Neul movies and some interviews ... and she is very charming, but they don't look alike, IMO.

Juri still exudes the personality of a young girl, with extra cuteness and adorableness. :muack:

Ha-Neul is kinda bubbly but more mature.

Well, I could see someone being turned off with her outfits and the fact she's not classically feminine nor does much in terms of cosmetic upgrades. Even her spikey hair in Last Friends could turn others off.

But, it's hard for me to see someone serious about Juri being "ugly". :headscratch:

Ramblings of an insane person, I believe.

Juri-sama is cute without having to 'act cute', unlike a lot of those so called 'idols' out there. There will always be people who prefer additives to natural goodness.

I better shut-up before I start rambling about BDFGs.

I like that analogy. :victory: :applaud:

I think that's one of the things that made her so perfect for Nodame. I've said it before, but the character is a lot more difficult to pull off than many may think. She has to act childish and weird, but still have a spark of reality in her.....when not being hit by a frying pan. An actor "acting cute" would have made Nodame very annoying to watch. Juri-chan's skills really shine when Nodame has to show pain or hurt. She stays in character as Nodame, not shifting out into some dramatic persona that doesn't fit.

I am so looking forward to her other work if I can pull myself from rerunning Nodame to oblivion. :beaten:
