Ah how i wish it were that simple, but my dad wants to go to barcelona this year and the only person who can change his mind (hes very stubborn really) is my mother, but she only likes going to places she knows a little about or has seen something of that place before that she really liked.

Besides that I think my mom will really enjoy Nodame and she wont watch it unless it has Romanian subs since her english isn't that good.

Tenshigure wrote:Or, you could go over to the Fansubber's section over at D-Addicts and post up a recruitment page for this very job. I'm sure you'd possibly find someone there (no guarantees, but better than asking the crowd directly):

Yup I did that now on the Romanian D-addicts thread hoping to get a response. but I thought I should try here just in case...

Maiuuri wrote:I don't suppose theres ant Romanian speakers here that are willing to help me translate the series in Romanian... :puppydog:

Its all part of my super long and ingenious plan...

Let me explain ...

I translate all of the series and the special (will take me about a year....since my Romanian is not entirely all that good though I'm hoping to finish in a few months) and make my mother watch it. then when she finishes I suggest we take our next holiday in Berlin (which is on the 4th of April since thats when I get a break from college), and her being the good wife she is will convince my father...

This way I will enjoy many orchestra visits whilst they wonder about in Berlin appreciating the architecture...(so I hope, so far it looks bleak as I have to finish translating before march 15 giving my mother enough time to convince my father to buy the holiday there so that I can just go home on the 4th of April and go to Berlin [At the moment I'm studying in London I live in Romania though])

Well, any takers?

Could you use Babelfish to translate the English subs to Romanian?

I have a coworker who's Romanian, but he's sorta old and cranky.

And he wouldn't do it for free.

There's not particularly a whole lotta dialog that she needs to understand to enjoy the show, I think... Maybe some of the finer points, but I'm sure she'd enjoy the music and comedy of it...

Hmm, I wonder if my mom would watch it....?

Well, you've got the 1024X576 version, ne? :victory:

I tried it: there's so many colors, the icons disappear. :beaten:

Beemer,
When I was in Japan, saw a few different Nodame Cantabile soundtracks.

1. The regular dorama soundtrack
2. Music associated with the male lead character
3. Music associated with Ueno Juri's character

Thought you might be interested.

Cheers,

Ahh that's from the SP? Did they change the ending credits thing? I barely pay attention to those usually so I don't know if it's the normal one from the regular season

I'll take a screenshot when I watch it :victory: Haha, along with the colors, I'm sure it's already a fairly distracting wallpaper.

Hey a Nodame novice is better than being a Nodame nothing-at-all :dancing:

But I guess you could call me a doramas novice as well since once I've seen the credits reel once, I don't usually bother to watch it again. However, I guess your point was paying attention to the small details of Nodame, ne?

True that.

Yup... It's one of the few, if not only, drama that I've seen with all these little details that you never notice until you've seen it a couple of times... Pretty amazing, I think.

How many times have you seen it now?

Seriously it's not that bad; I mean, ever since I modded my X-Box, I continuously loop a series in the background while I'm doing other things (gaming / writing up reports / browsing forums), so I've probably subconsciously watched this show, Iryu, GTO, and Odoru Daisousasen each about 7 times each. :hehe:

LOL.

Since you're brining up that Swing Girls, I've watched the entire movie at least 25 times... :beaten:

She's a very busy actress... She's in two upcoming movies: Naoko and Kung-Fu Kun...

People have been saying that in the Tamaki Hiroshi thread... Some think it was for his role in the NHK Taiga drama Atsu-hime, starring Miyazaki Aoi.
