Sugoi...! :victory:

Reiterating from the previous page:

Here's another question: why wasn't Holst's Jupiter included in any of the various Nodame OSTs? Or did I miss a download? :beaten:

I also noticed that there was some of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and Khachaturian's Sabre Dance (from the very funny unagi/Super Hitoshi-kun shopping scene) missing from the OSTs as well... Yet they included some pieces that weren't in the drama... :headscratch:

Powerful piece... And in the case of Rainbow Song, heartbreakingly sad. :puppydog:

Powerful, indeed....you should listen to the whole Suite...

Here's an interesting use of the Jupiter piece in a Paris fashion show featuring Esumi Makiko...ff to 5:00...unless you're a Keiko Kitagawa fan, then start from go...

Saturn is definitely my favorite movement.. followed closely by Uranus. It's a really wonderful suite. Holst is a beast.

Most of the music used as background, such as Jupiter and Sabre Dance were not included in any of the CD-sets. My reasoning was that they were not 'performed' by anyone in the drama. Since you asked...

The anime, being much longer than the drama of course (24 episodes) featured more music...including my all time favorite, Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun...

I thought you said it wasn't part of any of the CD sets?

Anyways, that's a great piece: very hectic, lots of energy... :victory:

FYI, that piece is used to great effect in the comedy One, Two, Three starring James Cagney... Highly recommended viewing. :victory:

It wasn't. However a Nodame fan from Italy collected all the missing pieces (as I called them) and sent me a CD.

Heh, another piece just popped into my head: Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky-Korsakov. :beaten: :victory:

Remember, however, the anime is made up of 22 minute episodes, where the drama is in a 45 minute format. I would say that puts them pretty near even, if you consider the two 1 hour drama shows :)

And not to mention the 4 hours worth of specials..

Now that I have all 11 720p episodes, does anyone need me to seed any of those episodes?

Just trying to pay it forward. :victory:

I kinda see it like the big bang... some day it may just collapse in on itself again and Mine's father will rule all once again.
