Awww! That woman will still be just as adorable and cute when she's 90! :dancing:

Him on the other hand... Oh my God, his neeeeck! *horror movie chick scream* Okay, his movies which he supposedly needed to be thin for are loooong filmed and done with so him getting even thiner is just not normal. It's either a health issue or drugs and I'm not sure which is worse.

Yow, you guys are really bothered by Hiroshi-kun's skinniness... Is it really that bad or are you guys just not used to it?

Well, do me a favor. Watch a scene from Nodame Cantabile (not the specials, the series) and then watch a scene from let's say Love Shuffle. Yes, he is horrible like this. If it was someone who was skinny to begin with or someone who didn't have much potential to be attractive, it wouldn't be so annoying.

But this guy is gorgeous. He has an awesome build and beautiful features so it just feels like such a shame for a guy who can look so awesome to go and do that to himself. I mean, there are people like me who are not gifted with good looks and would do anything to have them and would take care of themselves if they did so when we see someone who has what it takes to be healthy and beautiful and wastes that, it's frustrating.

I still love the guy as an actor and it's not like I hate his guts for loosing weight, it's just painfull to see such a fine man become like this. Not only for the looks, but because it's just not healthy as well.

On another note, so, is the guy who was conducting A-Oke a real maestro? He was there in this as well. Is he the conductor of the Nodame Orchestra? Cool :woot:

Man oh man, I wanna see Nodame and Son Rui meet. That's gonna be an interesting scene

I've watched Love Shuffle... He does look different... His cheeks are more hollow.

But he doesn't look sickly or gaunt... Just thinner.

A-Oke?

If you're talking about the drama, he's not a real conductor... It's an actor: Tanihara Shosuke. :)

He was there in this as well. Is he the conductor of the Nodame Orchestra? Cool :woot:

That's the REAL conductor of the Nodame Orchestra: Umeda Toshiaki. :)

I was actually talking about the real one. Tanihara-san is Matsuda in the upcoming movies. But remember when we first saw the A-Oke of the academy? It was this real conductor conducting it. Remember when Masumi tried to impress Chiaki and this guy went "Timpani! Get out!" :hehe: Poor Masumi-chan :puppydog: I think it's this guy introducing Juri-chan and Tamaki-san in these videos you posted.

Also, about Tamaki-san, not only the cheecks, but the eyes are very creepy. The skin around them has sunken in and they look like they're about to pop out of his skull. Not to mention his neck or how you can see every detail of his bones under the skin on his cheeks.

There's buffed up, there's fit and skinny and then there's anorexic. He was fit and a bit skinny before, but now he just looks drained. I know most japanese men tend to be quite thin and not so buff, but with most, it's the way they are build. They look thin and cute. With his build, he just looks like a scarecrow right now :nut:

I mean, am I the only one seeing a major difference? Granted, there's a difference in lighting, but still... XD Also, you can't see his neck in the top pic, but his neck has also gotten veeeery thin. Went from treetrunk to stick... Sorry for this being off topic, but it does affect the movies as well so I was wondering if more people notice a huge difference.

*shivers*

I remember that scene in Club One More Kiss in Paris where "Milch" says "Chiaki, you lost weight" and he goes "I lost all of it today!" Somehow, it was really funny considering he did lose weight.

Is that guy a real conductor?

I just thought he was the host of that Mezamashi TV show.....? :headscratch:

Maybe someone else can clarify...

Yeah, I'm very confused. He was in the series, he was also introducing the cast on some events in the extras from the DVD (events with an orchestra playing there) and now I see him again in these two clips.

Who is our mysterious host? :hehe:

Maybe someone who's more familiar with Japan and the TV programs can ID that guy... There's no missing him: he always wears a bow tie and glasses. :)

Hee hee. Let the hunt for his identity begin! :woot: Better than twiddling our thumbs till we got news from the movie. Haha!

I've thought about it every now and then when I see the guy on Mezamashi TV, but never looked into it until now... Thanks for the motivation. :victory:
