Ehh, romance is much better than just perpetually jumping in the sack. :victory:

Of course romance is better, but c'mon... almost two years of this "relationship" would have brought about sex by now.

I mean, elementary school kid level of love is cute (where a peck on the lips is a big deal), but we are talking about adults. I'm not saying they should show any sex, but it's also not realistic for people of their age not to have even properly kissed after all this.

I don't like how with shoujo/josei, the big climax of romance is the very start of the romantic relationship. I'd like to see a couple when they are actually a couple.

A kiss that's more passionate or at least the insinuation of a full relationship (meaning with romance, kissing, sex and all) is not that painfull to do. Plus, in today's society, even elementary school kids know these things so I don't see how a teenage girl reading the manga would be in any way shocked by a display of passion or affection.

Sure, the relationship was not romantic up till now but a) he did kiss her and it's not like he's a virgin since he did have a normal relationship with Saiko before and b) he did think about Nodame's cup size while hugging her so he couldn't possibly, as a healthy straight man, not be interested about her body as well.

So by the end of the story, I'm hoping he'll at least plant her a big french one so that we can say goodbye to the series knowing he will eventually be able to have kids with her :rofl:

I actually thought that way when I read the manga, knowing that Nodame has spent some nights at Chiaki's apartment and slept on his bed, it's quite impossible if they did nothing :hehe:

so yeah, a long and big french kiss won't do any harm, that will put our minds at ease, once and for all :hehe:

I get your drift, but if they had sex the sexual tension and the romance would be sucked out of the drama... That entire aura would be gone and the drama would probably stagnate.

Call me old fashioned, but I'm enjoying the interplay and relationship-y stuff the way it is... It's one of the things that makes this drama great. :victory:

I prefer not to see it in the manga or the movies either, coz just like you said it would ruin everything, but I'd like to think that they had done it :rofl: somehow it assures me that they can't escape each other :hehe:

Yeah, he's not one of those kinda guys... Actually no one in the drama is a womanizer... Except Miruhi. But he's more a sukebe.

I'm not talking about random moments in the series. I mean that by the end of it, I'd want them to be in a proper relationship. Would it be ruined if at the very end we find out that they are having or will have a normal relationship?

Of course I don't want them to be a full couple before the end. Like you guys said, it would ruin the whole fun, but it's annoying how with shoujo/josei that's all you get even when the story's ending.

I would just love to see intimacy/passion/marriage or something happen at the end instead of it just stopping with a little peck and smiles. Have you read Itazura na Kiss? They even show the couple after they are married and it ends with them having a baby! I don't find it, as a 22 year old woman, satisfying for a story to end at the very first stage of a full relationship (the first real kiss).

So Tamaki, if all Chiaki will be doing by the end of this is kissing, you better reach for her throat with that tongue! :rofl:

At this point in this type of romance, the "happily ever after" is a given... No further details are necessary... It's the ideal, albeit simplistic conclusion, but in keeping with the entire style of the drama.

Anything after that would be anticlimactic.
