Crossing my fingers that the movies get picked up for limited release in the artsy theaters. Then we could expect decent subtitling and DVD releases.

Well I'm sure it'll show up on DVD... It's the subtitling that's a big question mark. :fingerscrossed:

There was some talk about the movie(s) showing up at Cannes... You'd think that would mean it's be subtitled. :)

Yup, same here... The lack of subs didn't stop me from buying the previous Nodame DVDs... :victory:

Not so much the subs, but I'd like to get an official Region 1 DVD. I don't own a region-free player, so a Region 2 would not work. Considering a Japanese DVD would cost as much as a new player......not sure if I want to go that route. And my experience with "grey" area DVD's are hit and miss.

Cannes may get it recognition, but only a distributor, even for limited release, will get it a US R1 DVD.

You can pick up a Region-hackable Philips DVD player for about $40-$50. :victory:
