Good Luck !! [グッドラック！！] Great characters, cast, plot and what a great soundtrack, this is up there in my favourite J-Drama list, I was in two minds about watching a show about planes, but it was really interesting and added some great moments to the story, 10/10 for everything.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] I really enjoyed this, watched it all in one go (what a long night that was) How the end was handled really annoyed me and sadly thats my after thought of this drama, Sae and Kai doing their own thing through one way or antother was a cheap way to try and get emotions out of the viewer
Densha Otoko [電車男] Rating: 10/10 Just waiting on the last episode now but this drama is amazing, all I can think of the moment is watching the last episode, a true classic.
Engine [エンジン] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) This is better than Pride in some ways, I really liked Pride until the plot went to crap (read my pride review for what I mean) at least this series waited until the last episode before it went stupid, like a review above says, the spoiler coming off when and how it did was just stupid and there Jiroh is feeling bad and letting everyone down, he should go and give the mechanics a kick up the back side for doing such a poor job on the car. There isn't much chemistry at all among the cast either. The music was rubbish, nothing original at all. An enteraining drama but it's not something that will keep you thinking for a time after you have finished watching it.
Gokusen [ごくせん] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Very funny and entertaining, I watched 8 episodes in a row, just couldn't stop watching it. This is more like GTO anime/manga than GTO live action is, which is no bad thing, great stuff.
Gokusen Season 2 [ごくせん２] (Watched) I was worried after reading all about how bad it was compared to the first season, yes, it is a re-hash of the first series and nothing original but it still has that gokusen charm we all love, I just wish there was more between Yankumi and Sawatar.

Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 [高校教師 2003] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Very dark and surreal drama, completely different from what I originally thought this was going to be like, I can't say that it made me cry but there were sad and teary eye'd moments. A very interesting and plot twist ridden piece of drama. I only give it a 9 becuase it didn't fully emotionally get to me, glad I watched this.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Entertaining drama, yet again another show where the female lead leaves and comes back, they need to stop doing that, good acting though and I really liked Tomokos character.
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Very sad and depressing drama, don't watch this if you feel depressed, great acting, characters and music, one of a kind.

Taiho shichauzo [逮捕しちゃうぞ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Great entertainment with some nice stories, funny moments and some great acting, lots of nice looking women too, just wish they made more, why do they torture us like this.
Trick [トリック] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Very funny and entertaining with plenty of comedic moments from all the cast, yamada's laugh cracks me up and the chemistry between all the cast is great. It's crooked...
Trick Season 2 [トリック2] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) The Trick series is probably my favourite drama of all time.
Trick Season 3 [トリック3] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) More of the same which is great, everyone is on top form again, and I really liked how it ended. It also made me sad watching it knowing there wasn't going to be anymore, I think this is my favourite j-drama, it's great.
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】] Rating: 9/10 Some great supporing roles in this drama, Osuke's friends were great. Lots of manic and funny moments and also the sad ones.

Densha Otoko [電車男] Instantly captivating [Rating: 10/10] A very touching (and VERY funny) story of an otaku who helps a woman in a train who is being harrassed by a drunk, being a complete nerd and no clue about women he turns to a message board for help. I was hooked from episode one, you know when you watch a drama and think, wow nothing will beat this, well, this is one of those shows that will change that opinion, all round great acting, the character who plays the otaku does it convincingly, with the help of his two freinds they are a classic act, just typing this makes me want to watch it again, the music is also great especially the star wars bit, stop reading this and go and watch it now, you won't be able to stop until you have seen it all.

Gokusen [ごくせん] Fight Oh... OH! [Rating: 9/10] Very funny and entertaining, I watched 8 episodes in a row, just couldn't stop watching it. This is more like GTO anime/manga than GTO live action is, which is no bad thing, great stuff. Just a note that this is 12 episodes + a special. I also like when they are having the welcome party in ep1 that sawatari (head-teacher) calls yankumi yamada sensei referring back to when they were back in Trick together, nice touch that. If you liked this then you must watch Trick, the chemistry and comedy is far beyond what this has (and that's saying something)

Pride [プライド] I hate this kind of drama [Rating: ?/10] I don't know what to say, this drama had great characters, plot and music, but the ending was complete and utter shit. SPOILERS>>
Aki went back to her boyfriend and he ended up being a complete wanker, after leaving Haru on the bridge, as soon as this happened the series went down the toilet, there was no tension or emotion in the ending, Haru left for the NHL then comes back and takes Aki back, it's like he has to be sorry for leaving when she is the one that left him to go back to a boyfriend that was already involved and beat her to make up for him being baka. I really liked this series until then, but the ending is just complete shit.
Yes, this is a drama but lets keep it somewhat real, You end up getting involved with a girl who you end up falling for, and after everything you go through she shafts you for some bloke she not seen in two years, the way she acts to Haru is so cold on that bridge scene, game or not it's obvious he cares for her, and she does him over like that, im sorry words can't really express how much the ending of this series pissed me off. I like Takuya Kimaru dramas, but you'd have to be a hardcore and somewhat blind fan to give this show 10/10 or even 9/10. Wake up the ending is the most dissapointing ending i've ever seen in a j-drama.
Basic premise:
Haru meets Aki who was left by her boyfriend 2 years ago and every sunday she waits for him to return on the bridge they departed on, Haru and Aki meet at an after match gathering, moving a long her boyfriend comes back, she gets all emotional and when she is waiting on the bridge after speaking to her boyfriend after he finally comes back (after she told him she wouldnt go) Haru meets her on the bridge at the same time, she them sees her boyfriend then totally blanks Haru and goes running and crying towards him, and Haru feels like crap, after Aki's boyfriend finally tells her he has a new woman and a kid she decideds she wants to go back to Haru, and there the story takes a stupid change, I can't go on im so dissapointed in how it ended, yeh they get back together, it's kind of how orange days ended, she goes off with some other bloke then comes back and acts like nothing happened and everyone lives happily ever after, go watch Good Luck instead, now that has everything, good cast, characters, plot, music and decent ending (im not one for "it must be a happy ending" but I dont want to feel cheated after everything like this series left me.
Reading all these 9/10 10/10 reviews it makes me wonder if they actually watched the whole series before reviewing, even the most hardcore Takuya fan must admit the ending is so weak and cheap. I hope his next drama is of better quality along the lines of Good Luck, even Long Vacation is better than this.

Trick [トリック] It's crooked... [Rating: 10/10] Very funny and entertaining with plenty of comedic moments from all the cast, yamada's laugh cracks me up and the chemistry between all the cast is great. Lots of funny personal jokes between the cast too, and some great music especially the ending theme which brings each episode to a nice eerie closure. The ending to episodes can be realing un-nerving too, an episode will just end and the haunting end theme will just kick in and leave you thinking about what just happened, probably one of the greatest dramas ever created.
Trick Season 3 [トリック3] I WANT MORE [Rating: 10/10] More of the same which is great, everyone is on top form again, and I really liked how it ended. It also made me sad watching it knowing there wasn't going to be anymore, I think this is my favourite j-drama, it's great. We as viewers we're really lucky, most series only get one series, but with this we we're lucky enough to get three, I want more though, can't get enough of the cast and their whacky adventures.
For any later comers there is now a new SPECIAL (2005) out and a TRICK 2 Movie next year (2006)
