Konna Koi no Hanashi turned out to be a much better drama than I'd expected it to be. It bordered on the sort of melodrama that usually turns me off... but Hiro-san and that amazing supporting cast kept me glued to the series till the end.
Right now I'm still watching Yume no California and it's just getting better and better as it goes along.
This might be my favorite Yo Kimiko role -- she plays the lead's mother.
And it's nice to finally be able to put a face to Kudo Kankuro, the guy who wrote and directed Tiger & Dragon (among other things). He has a supporting role as the lead actor's brother. _________________ Manga is to Literature

One more assassination and I'll be done, tho! Then I can get back to watching Shinsengumi!
I think I'll go finish the game now... _________________

I would have thought "work". On topic: Finished ep 5 of Jikou Keisatsu 2 Doesn't seem to be quite as good as the original, seems like the guest star list is a bit weaker this time around, but I'm still enjoying it. Edit: I see Naomi Nishida (Overtime, Pride) is coming up in ep 6, so my previous comment might be amended.

big cliffhanger at the end of ep 10...will finish this show tomorrow... |
Damn, I was hoping someone would pick up the subbing of those 2 eps since Haruspex has apparently abandoned them
*looks hopefully at marspeach and/or Kazuya_*

Are you crazy? The reason haruspex didn't do those in the first place is because they weren't captioned on that one site. Do you know how much I rely on those transcripts??? To have to do it all by ear... there'd be at least half of the lines blank. _________________

Agreed. I've tried translating dramas with no scripts and it is very difficult. The only reason I was able to complete them was because of the help of others to fill in the lines I wasn't able to.
I'd like to help with Monster Parent but I never enjoyed that drama. I didn't make it past the first episode and thus I never downloaded the rest. Subbing a show that was hard to watch is not much fun.

Gomen nasai momo-chan (& Kazuya_). I was just being hopeful... I think it's awesome that you're doing what you do already. After just trying to turn Engrish subs into English, I can appreciate how hard it must be to sub a drama by ear

No harm done. I'm just not good enough to do it, but if I could I would. _________________

So would I. I'm using those transcripts with the Engrish subs I have for Top Sales, but they don't help me a lot

I finished off Yume no California today.
It didn't finish as strong as I'd hoped. But still a very good drama. And top to bottom the cast was really at the top of their game.
Even though they played it kind of safe at the end... I still enjoyed every minute of it.
Tonight I'll finish off Ikebukuro West Gate Park. Meaning, I'll watch the Special. I finished the regular series episodes yesterday. It was a fun, stylish show.
I don't think either of these would find a place in my Top Ten All Time Favorites List (if I had such a thing) but I've really enjoyed both and I'm sad to see them end. _________________ Manga is to Literature
