Heh. I used to have that problem with Baldur's Gate 2 - too many items you could potentially carry, and if you had too much, you couldn't move :banghead: I used to just find a particular place to stash it all that I could go back to. Dunno if you can do that in your game, though.

I think I can stash stuff - if I only learn how. :victory:
Oblivion's so vast though, that I fear I'd forget where I put stuff - and even if I remembered, the trek back there might be huge.

Have you had much time on the PS2 lately, AD?

That's the problem, ne? The other thing you could do in BG was sell excess stuff... just make sure you don't sell stuff you might need later

Yeah, usually get about 30 mins a few days per week... maybe more... I'm getting thru FFX nicely :) It's like all RPG's.... you just have to work out the best way of killing enemies and avoiding being killed for each new area you visit :)

I think you can sell stuff in Oblivion. :victory:
I spent some dough on a room tonight, so I could probably do with making some more soon.

Oh, I wondered whether you son was still in his Ratchet And Clank phase, and still hogging the machine.
Good to hear you're getting through FFX ok. :dancing:
Wonder if your time spent playing it will add up to over 150 hours when you've done..? :hehe:

There was a guy in BG2 you could sell stuff to, steal the same stuff back from, and then resell to endlessly. A good way to get cash :)

No, he doesn't seem to be playing as much. He goes through phases...

LOL, I hope not! Depends how much time I spend levelling, I guess :nut:

Hehe! This guy has to be the most witless game character ever.

All the more for you. Yaaay! :dancing:

No joining the ranks of FF anoraks for you, hey? :hehe: Do you say "anoraks" in Australia to mean "nerds" like in the UK?

Ah well, it's getting on for midnight here, so I'm off. Good night! :victory:

haha it's really funny to see how this thread has changed in the past 5 years, with all the differences.
but the love of jdorama remains :)

Aw, I missed this as I'd gone by then, but thanks anyway. :D

Oh yeah AD, I was looking on IGN about Oblivion, and omg look at this thread I found I've logged 9000 hours in Oblivion
Kind of makes those FF obsessives you mentioned seem not so bad.

Indeed. :victory: I've only been here since 2006, but I've gone throught lots of this thread because it's interesting reading.

Hmm, well looking at a few more pages, it seems it might be some kind of in-joke. Quite how it's funny, I really don't know. :beaten:

Hmm, kinda like "mine is bigger than yours"? I dunno, it's hard to judge how true any of their claims are. I did read of one guy who logged over 1000 hours on FFX, but only because he never turned his PS2 off :bonk:

Keps wrote:So I got out of prison today! Yaaaaaay! I was stunned when I got outside - so much space! It looked wonderful, too. Until some guy starting hacking at me with an axe, lol.
It was day when I got outside, and as I needed to get more health, I slept for some hours. After that, it was dark, and I was thrilled when a wolf appeared. :dancing:

I need to get the Emperor's amulet to somewhere (my memory's awful and I can't remember the name), so that's what I'm planning to do next. I want to visit some areas on my way there though. Seee if I can buy some useful stuff.
I didn't realize that what I had chosen before was my race (Redguard), and today I had to choose a class. I went for scout.

Grand! A LOT of quests are going to pop up, especially when you start talking to peeps. Make sure you really explore the city tho (like the market district, etc.).

All this talk of Oblivion is making me want to play it again, but I wanna finish Enchanted Arms. The story is good but the constant random battles is really getting on my nerves, especially since one can't avoid them. :banghead:

I started playing a downloadable mystery/adventure game called "Indigo Prophecy" tonight from xbox live. I'm like...mesmerized or sucked in or something. Gameplay is very simple...it's nothing more than an advanced choose your own adventure, but I don't think I've been so hooked on a story since a game called "Condemned: Criminal Origins". I want to know what happens next damn it.

I highly recommend both games for those that have Xbox 360s. Wynter, if you set up Xbox live, you should be able to get Indigo from the Xbox originals section...although it'll cost about $15 US in microsoft points.

How do you get Microsoft points?

Yeah, I think that thread was full of unfunny plonkers. :bleh:
Leaving PS2 on? Wow, I would never leave it idly on - the noise would be the main problem. It's not enormous, I know, but it'd get to me after a while if I wasn't playing.
The PS3 is very quiet. I can leave that on, and not know it. It only really makes any noise when it's trying to read a disc, but that's hardly anything.

Do you know what - I started over with Oblivion. Got rid of my saves, and started from scratch again today. Reason being, I stole something, and I didn't mean to. I thought I was going to speak to someone, but instead I stole something in front of their eyes, lol. And, I needed this person for a quest. :puppydog:
Fortunately, I hadn't spent ages on this, so I'm not too annoyed. And also, now I'm starting over with a much better idea of how to do things. :victory:
Oh, I got to the city markets this time. It's the first time I've been there. I was gutted when I found I could hardly afford anything.
Gonna have to find some ways to get some gold.

Sorry Enchanted Arms is being a bother. Is it like big boss battles you mean?

No, it's the small villians that are scattered all over the place. :grumble:

I'm debating on whether I should start Oblivion again from scratch too. I'm stuck in that painting for the artist mission, and I have to defeat 6 trolls, but they're so hard! I can only beat 2 :bleh:

I don't know how to get out of it.

Should be under account management, you can put a credit card into your account and you can buy points. The marketplace blade should have an option on the screen somewhere to buy more points. Also, you can just look for one of the games to download and it'll check to see if you have any points. If you don't it'll take you to where you can set some up.

That would make me angry. I hate when there's hardly any room to breathe in a game before you have to kill something. :bleh:

Ooh, I don't know that quest. I haven't met any trolls yet. They sound tougher than what I've come up against so far.
I've had zombies, sharp-toothed goblins (and a goblin witch), skeletons and a vampire hunter or two. Oh, and tonight I was accosted by a highwayman. I had to kill him - no way was he having the 100 gold he wanted!
Oh my, I must've spent about 3 hours total on Oblivion today. I just love love love it! :dancing:

Huh, I caught a disease tonight. I think it was from a vampire hunter I battled. I don't know why the vampire hunters wanted my skin. I'm no vampire.

I feel much happier about my new game. I'm being really careful not to do anything stupid. I'm sure I haven't got to anything really difficult yet though, so I can forsee problems.
