and i agree with you, some referees in this tournament so far are idiots.

i cant blame them that much though. Mr Sepp Blatter really needs to consider using technology to assist referees.

BTW (this has got nothing to do with soccer), in the US, when people are talking about "hockey", are they referring to the "ice hockey" or the "field hockey"? i'm a bit confuse now.

Too many yellow cards flying into the air i think. Then the red cards....not really necessary when I saw the US vs Italy game

Like how they have it in American Football???? That'd be good.

I believe they referring to Ice Hockey

you are quite right there. the us-italy match was only the fourth such incident in the history of world cup. but well, two were very long time ago in 1938 and 1954. the latest was in france 1998.

there seems to be a kind of new policy in this world cup actually, that requires referee to be stricter and makes it easier for players to be booked. i'm not really sure what the policy is all about, but that's pretty much why we see so many cards in this tournament.

whatever the policy is, i think it's just spoiling the tournament. :shakehead:

I think they should just let them play. I mean yea....the elbow to that dude's face was reasonable for a red card....but a late tackle or whatever it is.... :shakehead:

you are right there is a new policy with respect to booking and YES i agree it IS beginning to spoil the tournament.

imagine this...if you spent several HUNDRED or THOUSAND euros to watch a match with the best soccer players in the world and you missed them because of some yellow or red cards....that's ridiculous.

i thought they were planning to implement some sort of sensor into the balls to assist the referee and linesman. there was some talk about it around last year. looks like the plan has been dropped.

yes you are right.....more importantly than the goal...because Zidane got another yellow card in the last match he will miss the upcoming match...if France does not advance to the next round that will be LAST match Zidane ever plays for France...because he is retiring after the World Cup.

The referees are giving WAY TOO MANY yellow and red cards...it's ridiculous.

Don't have pity for Zidane , he is the richest . he will carry on to do his stupid commercials on tv . have you ever heard him speak ? :bleh: it seems that he can't even read !!

Tu_triky >> Official reports say that Zidane's salary is 40 000 €uros per training day. And you have to add 62 000 € per match he's playing. Then, if he scores, he gets a special pay given by the FIFA.

That means that if he LOSES a match, he's getting paid 102 000 €uros/day. =)

Of course, I'm not even counting the payment he gets from advertising and commercials. Haha.

I, for my part, hoped that S. Korea would crush the French team... But I'm glad they scored an even. They are so faithful. Cheer for Korea!!

haha...i don't pity him because of the money...i pity those who want to see him play because he will never play again....i'm sure Zidane has more money than he can spend.

edit: Zidane was not even supposed to play in the world cup they begged him to coem out of retirement...i doubt Zidane is playing for money.

MAN... I was really hoping for England to take the win and they didn't... they lost it!~ ARGH! This really sucks. Well... they're still @ the top of their group so that's good. A tie is better than a loss I suppose.

I can't wait until Ghana VS. USA!!! GO GHANA!~ :victory:
