Yeah I know what you mean. I think ppl were pretty broken up about it but I don't think they were out for Komano's blood.

Spoiler — click to reveal
Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga (13 March 1967 - 2 July 1994) was a Colombian footballer who was shot and killed in Medellín. It is widely believed that he was murdered due to his own goal in the 1994 FIFA World Cup, which supposedly would have caused gambling losses to several powerful drug lords. Andrés Escobar is still held in the highest regard by Colombian fans, and is especially mourned and remembered by Atlético Nacional's fans. His brother, Santiago, has managed many Colombian teams:sweat: OMG that just crazy  ... sorry but i had to post it for some other people to see ... well that didn't know  WOW is all have to say

Yeah, ESPN's documentary series 30 on 30 had an episode on this not to long ago. It's very good. Have you seen it Tu_tricky?
I still feel sorry for Komano, apparently the media went to his mother to get quotes about the PK miss. Only it lead to her apologizing that her son missed the PK. :shakehead:
Tulio > John Terry

Yeah, I read about that. I heard that the media was actually heavily criticized by the public for that interview of Komano's mother.
Tulio > John Terry

Yeah, it was very sad to watch. It's an unfortunate reality not just in Colombia but all of Latin America. Prior to this WC, Salvador Cabañas a striker for Paraguay was shot in the head. Cabañas got into an argument with a man who felt Cabañas wasn't scoring enough goals. :shakehead: It's believed the man is involved with a drug cartel.
The Dutch (my country) won against Brazil! I'm not too big a fan of the sport, but nonetheless, it's awesome!

Thanks. But truth be told, they only scored one of the two goals themselves... the other was a gift from Brazil ;)

True but their resolve was brilliant. Do you realize until this match, Brazil had NEVER lost a World Cup match where they led at the end of the first half. The Dutch just made history. :)
Tu_triky wrote:thats so true ... but didn't the last one frace was the one stop them in that same spot (going to the semi ) ... i was shocked 2-1 man that was a big upset so far
