I checked Google Maps, and the closest one to you from Santa Rosa is the new Concord Fry's. It's around 70 miles one way.
That'll cost you about $20-$25 in gas round trip... I'll bet shipping from Outpost is cheaper than that.
I haven't checked the site, but oftentimes Outpost the online store and Fry's the brick-and-mortar store don't have the same prices. And they don't honor each other's prices....even though they are own by the same people.

Happened to me with the GPS unit I bought. It was $60 cheaper on Outpost than anywhere online or BM. So I asked Fry's if they would match it....and scoffed at me. Then I brought up the fact that they (Fry's) owns Outpost. That didn't mean anything apparently.
So I bought it from Outpost and it arrived the day before I needed it....that was too close for comfort.

I better shop eBay.
any good stores online to help me other than ebay?
Newegg is one. Zipzoomfly is another. But I would check newegg first.
I'm still drooling over the 500gb for $190 and $80 for 300
I wonder if the 500 is firewire enabled the 80 i can get for the hubby since he's into music making and stuff..

If you're talking about the one at Fry's, then no, it's only the drive. But that doesn't mean you can add it to a Firewire external case.
