No I'm not smart, I'm actually pretty dumb for ordering parts that I didn't need. (and on top of that from the US)
I dont' really mind RMA in general, just requires patience and you need to keep chasing people's asses to get things done. But hey gotta do what you gotta do to get your hardware replaced :fingerscrossed:
but now this is different, RMA to another country takes time AND money *sighs*
someone teleport me to the US and back
and oh, thankfully all my other hardware is safe (at least I think so)
having hard drive issues. bought a new 300gb drive. works fine in an external case. putting it on any internal ATA channel gives me a kernel panic.
:headscratch:
My new camcorder (Canon ZR500) comes with a firewire port.
I don't have a firewire card in my computer and I want to d/l my movies to my PC. Is there a cable that will connect to the firewire port on my camcorder and to the USB port on the PC?

You can't mix FireWire and USB technologies.
You need to buy a FireWire card to plug into your PC... About $15-20, I think.

Eh!?!
Wrong sata port? ... or perhaps something in the bios. I know you can change SATA to PATA, but if it's working with another drive... :headscratch:

Unless you have a laptop, that is.
I would never have a laptop.... unless I were in business and had to carry reports.... why pay more for less speed and a lesser quality monitor than you can have on a desktop?
So I will install a firewire port... another positive of a desktop being able to add goodies like this.
Guys, Is there any method to bypass bandwith restriction(for download speed and size) maybe using super web browser or something??
In my college there's a wireless connection at first i able to download at 200-300 kb/s, two months ago it dropped to around 80 kb/s.. and lately I only gets 5-6 kb/s.. The thing is, now when I start d/l the speed goes to around 80 then it drops gradually and ends in 5-6 kb/s..
In advance, Thanks for your answer :woot:

I wouldn't be surprised if your college has some kinda software to keep students and faculty from hogging up bandwidth... I mean, you're supposed to being doing schoolwork, not downloading torrents. :beaten:
