My niece's laptop is acting up: she says at times the keyboard will have a mind of its own and repeat various letters when she's typing. :headscratch:
She's scanned for viruses, malware, spyware, etc. and found nothing and there's no apparent mechanical problems with the laptop (e.g. sticking keys),... Any ideas?
runpup sent me the link yesterday and I tried it out today. I had a D/L that was split into 5 downloads, all I had to do was open the program, copy the links from the website and they were added to the program. The program realised they were all part of the one download, and queued them for download and then downloaded them one by one without any input from me, and even joined the parts once they were all downloaded :victory: Great program!
I actually downloaded the Portable Apps version, runs from my thumb drive so I don't have to install it on my work comp :dancing:
Guess this is the program I've been looking for(?), :fingerscrossed: downloaded a few movies from a torrent and one was split into 5 files, the other in 4, sounds like this will join them. Can anyone help with a link or the best site for downloading it? Thanks for any help. :victory: [image]
I deserved that answer! :beatyou: Actually someone or two had made a post on JPdownloader, was wondering if that's the program I needed to join the files that I downloaded from a torrent, would have helped if I had mentioned that! :beaten: Maybe this Yukie pic will be luckier. [image]

I have HJ Split, but when the files get split it's not in a way that it's able to join together. :banghead: Wonder if it's my computer, when a file is a little over a 1,000,040 it splits it, wonder if there's a setting that can be adjusted so it stays as one file regardless of the size. Thanks for the suggestion though! :applaud:
Maybe she'll be my lucky charm. :beatyou: [image]

The extensions are VTS_02_1, then VTS_02_2 and so on. Never have downloaded something and had it ending up looking like that. Think maybe because the file was from a DVD it ends up like that? :grumble: Thanks again, ah, I'm feeling more bakish than usual. [image]

They ain't extensions, dude, they are filenames. What you have there are .vob files, which are part of DVD structure. They are broken up that way by whatever program created the DVD.
There is a program called Vobwelder available, made by Aussie computer mag PC User. You might e able to find a copy online, since it was made available free on their mag disc.
Well, those were the files for Detective Bureau, I'll just forget that movie for now :shamefulcry: ...actually, was able to download okay and put on disc, :victory: but couldn't get the subs to work because it was an option on the main menu, couldn't open that part. :usuck: Downloading Adrenaline Drive, hard subbed, should be okay to watch and transfer to disc. :dancing: I will find a good luck person, someday/week/etc. :bonk:

I guess it depends on what other files you got when you downloaded it. If you got all the files from a DVD and you burned them properly to DVD, you should have the subs available...
