For those of your who burn a lot of discs:

Blank DVD Media Quality: http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm

Excerpt:

What are the Best Blank DVDs?

Not everybody has the time or the need to learn about media. If you're simply after the quick advice on what discs will almost always work the best in any DVD player or DVD burner, then get one of these:

1. Verbatim DVD-R, DVD+R or DVD+R DL, made in India, Singapore or Taiwan.
2. Taiyo Yuden DVD-R or DVD+R, from an authorized dealer only.
3. Sony DVD-R or DVD+R, made in Taiwan only.

Verbatim DVD-R and Verbatim DVD+R DL are our top suggestions for the ultimate in disc quality, as Mitsubishi-made media have been a consistent high-quality performer since 2001. Taiyo Yuden media is an excellent second choice.

I just upgraded my home's network to gigabit. It's blazing fast transferring files internally.

I've been using jdownloader for a while now and I have to say it's a great piece of software. Hardly any issues at all, except sometimes it will tell me a link is 'dead' when it isn't. When this happens I just have to restart the program.

I second that.

runpup sent me the link yesterday and I tried it out today. I had a D/L that was split into 5 downloads, all I had to do was open the program, copy the links from the website and they were added to the program. The program realised they were all part of the one download, and queued them for download and then downloaded them one by one without any input from me, and even joined the parts once they were all downloaded :victory: Great program!

I actually downloaded the Portable Apps version, runs from my thumb drive so I don't have to install it on my work comp :dancing:

There's even a setting for when the parts are joined successfully, the program will automatically delete the split parts...

this program does it all!
