thanks for asking.....sorta uneventful, but that is ok. just going with the flow with everything...

how is everyone else doing?

Well qilver I give you a lot of credit for jumping back in the game and trying the dating scene. :victory: As for me I enjoy dates when I don't feel like I am being interviewd on them. There has to be a way for a guy to ask questions and not have it feel like an interrogation. Good Luck!

resurrecting this thread again....

yea, jumping back into the dating scene isn't easy, and takes time and effort to get to know someone new. Sometimes easier than other times, depending on how you and the other person "click" or get along. no one likes being interviewed in a grueling sorta way. It is easier if it is mutual, and the conversation flows well. Being fun, and a light of the situation, just getting to know someone makes for a good date, which i learned by going out a lot.

well, I went out with that one girl again who is a teacher, somehow for the 3rd time.I felt it was going nowhere, and didn't think she was at all being receptive, even if she was seeking just a friendship. Not really sure what she wanted out of it. I was casual about the whole thing, and a good sport, but think it is just a waste of my time.
Going out in general is cool, but it really isn't any fun if your date isn't into it. I think i pretty much lost my interest in her .....the search continues..next :bonk:

At least you have a motive, which is good. Are we to take it that you're ready to settle down now? Or do you just want someone in your life at the moment?

well, i've been actively searching for a relationship now, and having been dating girls that are late 20's/early 30's. I am in a mode right now, where i want to seriously date, for long-term. If it leads to marriage, that would be ideal. I am not in for flings, as they are a waste of time. Although the attentiveness from a woman sounds tempting, i see is as a mirage, an illusion of the what could be more meaningful from a long term healthy relationship. I am in it for the real thing, and no games from me. If the girl is willing to invest her time with me, getting to know me, etc....then i am ready to step up. The search continues.....

its tough to meet people outside of the workplace...i mean it was much easier when in school/college to meet people. Not really ideal to date someone from the workplace... :beaten:
i guess that is why they have those online dating websites....which i try to make use of....it's lead to some dates.

what about you/others? any luck?

I tell others that I'm not looking for a relationship right now, but the truth is, if I WAS in one, I'd have all the time in the world to nurture it.

I'm looking, but not actively. I meet the same people most of the time... When I meet other people, they are either kind of young, from out of town or not really the type your mom would like. They act like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. :hehe: I wouldn't mind the high maintenance, but not really my type. =T

I guess I should work on it, before I start writing novels and get called ero-sennin.

I don't think I would go as far as marring one. I could last a month or two. (until they cancel all my credit cards.) They are usually very pretty tho. :inlove:

Considering that my last 2 dates were with barmaids, and I don't really go into bars or drink much, (been there less than 10 times in the last year), I should find a better place to meet people. The last one had below the knee boots with a 3" heel, ultra mini skirt (if you can call that a skirt. ). Her top didn't have much fabric either. I actually had to tell myself must look in the eyes every 2 seconds. Almost tried to close them every time I was going from her eyes to my plate. :beaten:

Most of the guys I find myself remotely attracted to are taken already, and I'm not a homewrecker.

All the other guys I come into contact with are highschool boys. :bleh:

Unless I go out actively, which I honestly don't have the time to do, or can't do, then I don't see myself finding someone to get into a relationship with. >>sigh<<

One of them did. The student apologized (grade 10 boy) apologized to me for his father's behaviour the next day.

Being a busy, hermit myself I understand not wanting to go out.
But Im glad I went out last year and met my current BF.
And if I hadnt gone out I wouldnt have met him.
And that would be a major shame.

Yea, but you must know how to work your hotness to get a man just by going out a night. Me? Not so hot.

@Senpai: LOL! Good luck with that.
