Too bad you have a crappy ISP. I'd crash at your place too. :hehe: :bonk:

If I had a renter or two, I'd up the speed to 3 or 6 Mbps. :)

I'll pay an extra $25 a month for the 20mbps.

I never thought about that. I wouldn't want a girlfriend chosen by my mom either.

The goukon are great to meet people tho. I can't remember where I read that, but it seems there are tons of businesses in Japan, that hires pretty ladies just so they can fall in love with an employee, get married and quit. To be replace by another pretty lady later.

That's just amusing, yet depressing. ...where can I get a job like that? :beaten:

Not available here, I believe.

Where can I apply??? :hehe:
The "quitting your job after you get married" business is almost utopia in my country, youLll need two salaries to have a pretty decent life.
6 Nov 2007, 06:21 #867
Looks like the Japanese way is popular.

The situation is pretty much the same here. It can work, but I hope you hate traveling abroad and like bologna. :hehe: Unless the husband is filthy rich. Since it cost $7 a day to put your kids in a day care center, people prefer to work. If the husband at the workplace doesn't work, there's also the possibility of catching a Johnny in rehabilitation abroad. :P

It's like that here too. Throw in school fees and kids' activities, and it's no wonder Mrs A.D. has to work :banghead:

Hey, here's an idea! Since beem and q seem to have similar interests and live near each other, maybe they should hook up :P

Only kidding, guys :bonk:

Now THAT would be awesome!!! I'd pay to see that dorama happening. :beaten:

yeah, that'll be cool, to hang out with you. If you ever come to LA area you know who to call, me and B.

Romance is a whole new ballgame...in sports terms..
i think i forgot how to play the sport...lol
why would you think any of us guys would not be interested in you?
i can say likewise...you not interested in us...
so..it would be circumstancial, and it really would depend, but i can say atleast on a friendship level, it'll be cool to hang out, we all have "Jdorama" and it's culture in common with.

cori wrote:I'd love to go to LA and meet you and beem! Especially since we have a lot in common with the jdrama and Japanese thing.

And I probably would be interested in you guys if we lived in the same area because we already have common interests and you seem like nice and normal (beem, for the most part ) guys. And that's something that I think is hard to find these days.

Is this becoming a JD dating thread...?

Spoiler — click to revealIf so, I call A-Oyaji! O wait, he's married. :beaten:

Are you trying to set me up with beem with all those qualifications? Seems that's the case with Wyn and possibly AD too. :P

do you guys believe that: "the smarter the woman gets, the harder for her to find the right man" ?

Well, I guess the dumber she is, the less is needed to appease her or make her happy. An intelligent woman knows what she wants, so she also knows what she doesn't want. Though, I wouldn't know. I like them smart, period.

Hell, no! My mother would be sending me to an omiai once per week, because I'm 32, a good catch (according to her, mothers, bleh), and not married! OH MY GOD! TIME'S RUNNING OUT! JUST WAIT TILL I'M 40 AND STILL NOT MARRIED! I'LL BE LIKE ABE HIROSHI IN KEKKON DEKINAI OTOKO! Actually, that's a cool thought. I'm so not telling her that I'm fancying someone (though, that one isn't even on my continent, so... I guess it would be save, but I'm not willing to take that risk).

well i guess so.. but some guys don't like women who are too smart!! maybe because they will be more dominant to the realtionship..

omg!! an omiai!! well.. it's a good opportunity.. you might find the girl of your dreams.. are you from japan??

I'm smart, so I want my woman to be smart as well.

kisarazu wrote:omg!! an omiai!! well.. it's a good opportunity.. you might find the girl of your dreams.. are you from japan??

Nope, I'm not. I'm just hiding there six weeks per year (no kidding, it's all the vacation I can get per year and I spend it there, otherwise I would really go nuts). And the one I'm fancying is in Japan *nodnod* And... she is smart. So, I don't really need a omiai, I've already found the girl of my dreams. The problem is... telling her that.

Now, if I would say who it is, then she might eventually find out, wouldn't she? After all, she speaks English and who knows where she's lurking around, or who might find out and tell her. And that would be extremely embarassing. So, I'll simply use my right to remain silent :notell:
