Wow, that early, eh? Nice. :) And one advantage of me moving there--you wouldn't need to convert all those dramas to DVD for me. :beaten:
Just imagine the J-drama library you would have between you!

AND I'm Japanese-American too. :hehe: Oh wait, maybe that might be a strike against me since I'm not ~Japanese~ enough? :beaten:

yeah, that'll be cool, to hang out with you. If you ever come to LA area you know who to call, me and B.
Romance is a whole new ballgame...in sports terms..
i think i forgot how to play the sport...lol
why would you think any of us guys would not be interested in you?
i can say likewise...you not interested in us...
so..it would be circumstancial, and it really would depend, but i can say atleast on a friendship level, it'll be cool to hang out, we all have "Jdorama" and it's culture in common with.

I don't have that many... I'm exceedingly selective.

not necessarily...
i would think that if you were open to your own culture and the fact that you say you speak 20% and can pass on a certain japanese level, shows to me that you have a good amount interest in your cultural background. I would say you are japanese-enough, yet americanized enough to blend in with both cultures, a big benefit.
I have a chinese background, and a pure banana, with shoyu...ok bad bad joke but basically i am very americanized, i don't speak chinese, and i am obssessed with the Japanese culture. If that makes any sense at all. I tried desparately to teach myself from online Japanese lessons(d/l'ed a japanese series Pimsleur...thanks...to who provided me the bt link)...it worked somewhat when i went to Japan last July, i got around ok on my own, but i still have a lot to learn, and i don't know how to read yet in Kanji...

I'd love to go to LA and meet you and beem! Especially since we have a lot in common with the jdrama and Japanese thing.
And I probably would be interested in you guys if we lived in the same area because we already have common interests and you seem like nice and normal (beem, for the most part ) guys. And that's something that I think is hard to find these days.
But I think that just a friendship would be wonderful too. At least I'll have someone in common with, unlike how it is here on this island.

I've got some stinkers, too....

yeah, Beem is a cool guy, i've gone to the Nissei week with him twice, and he's an expert with encoded j-dramas, etc computer stuff.
whenever you come over to the mainland, LA area, look us up, and we'll go for some good Japanese ramen, or yakitori, we have some places in mind in his area.
and i do agree, good people are hard to find thesedays.....and just don't want to settle for what is convenient....and what is convenient thesedays...? :nut: anyhow, maybe that is why i am trying again online dating.... :beaten:

watshimo...
i got going
-Mop Girl
-Dream Again
-Mahou Sensei Negima!
and considering a few more from this season...
sorry off-topic
a lot more than dating prospects...ok bad comparison, cause i have none in that area of my life...sadly. lol

Are you trying to set me up with beem with all those qualifications? Seems that's the case with Wyn and possibly AD too. :P
And I absolutely do NOT want to settle for someone convenient. I want to end up with someone I love and who will love me back. An unconditional love. Not that stupid "I'm here and you're here, so let's just get hitched" type of deal. If I ever end up in that sort of situation and "Mr. Right" happens along afterwards, I would totally shoot myself (or my spouse :beaten: ).

Wait...aren't Mop Girl and Dream Again supposedly good? I'm in the process of downloading those dramas too... Yay, another common thing! :P

sure why not....life is hard, life sucks sometimes, and you gotta just fly with it...ok honestly...i wasn't and didnt mean to make it seem like i was matching you up with Beem...he honestly is a cool guy to hang with. We are all cool people to hang, afterall we found and are on Jdorama all the time....well for me mostly less, but more recently nowadays...
convenience is pure temptation, and if i was faced with that, i would probably fall flat on my face....out of ...i don't want to say it, but desperation? boredom...ok ok..you get the idea.
it'll be nice if good wonderful love struck just suddenly appear, a nice dream eh....seems so far away when there is nothing going on...
