*wondering if I should buy a new suit...*

Awesome.

It looks like my time here maybe running short. Not by force mind you....I'm going to take myself out the door. Now I just need to see those offers. :fingerscrossed:

Don't wear anything fancy like Armani or they'll think you don't need a raise. A gray sweatshirt with an animal print on the front (bear, wolf...) or something like Arkansas U. Pink shorts, orange crocs with white socks for the rest. Make sure you have a nice tie. Something like a red leather tie. 80's are cool. :D

And don't forget to bring a gun. Good luck. :victory:

Is it a bad sign when you sit down at your desk and say, "Only 8 hours and 4 minutes to go"??? :beaten:

LOL! There's a teacher in the Spec Ed department who started counting down to Christmas from the first day of school.

I knew a guy who was counting the days until his retirement. He had 3 or 4 years to go. Every time someone would ask him how he was doing, he would just reply: "Fine. Only 1326 days to go". :shakehead:

If someone is that depressed about their job, why didn't the guy just quit and find something he actually likes?

He had a nice retirement plan. He was a conservation agent. Due to budget cuts they didn't have enough money for gas to patrol in rural areas and drive around in their ATV, so they would just drive out of town and sleep in the truck or hang out in a restaurant drinking coffee all day.

The guy was lazy and I'm sure he couldn't find anything like that somewhere else. $30/h to sleep and drink coffee.

If you're that close to retirement, finding another job ain't that easy: not many companies wanna hire someone who's gonna bail out in three to four years.

the further you are from college graduation age, the harder it gets... unless you make it to a mid or high-level position or have some valuable skillset.
