Enna, you're prayers have been answered. Today, we were told how to handle calls from people stating they were going to commit suicide. We're supposed to:[/list:u] 1) Ask how they're going to it. [/list:u] 2) When are they going to do it. [/list:u] 3) Why are they going to do it. [/list:u] Then, as usual, we're supposed to contact a supervisor. We're also supposed to try and find out if they're "sincere" (whatever the hell that means  ) [/list:u]

Jeez G-mark, don't you work for a DSL provider? Is it that bad that people commit suicide because their DSL is down??

As a very wise man once said, "The world is full of nuts" :nut: But I have had customers calling in literally in tears because their DSL is down. :shakehead: [/list:u]

 that's sad.

My daughter was on the comp the other night, and while she was on (chatting on MSN, I think) the connection went down. So she turns around and asks me "When will it be working again?" :banghead:

I just thought that your management had left out the 'why' question for the bomb threat callers, especially since they didn't have you evacuating the building right away. Now they want you to interrogate the suicide callers? :shakehead: Good luck GM with all those questions. :fingerscrossed:

What a crazy morning. So much people came in and so many people called. I didn't have time to breathe (or check this site/email :P) until now. =T

I assume they have the standard severance package: "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!"[/list:u]On topic: Had a customer call in today, couldn't remember his userid. I look it up and it's his first and last name, all one word. How do you forget your userid, [/list:u]When it's your f**king name!!! :beatyou: :beatyou: :beatyou:

People are stupid :)

Well I am not judging - I suspect my brain is capable to forget pretty much every password, as simple and obvious as it may be.

No complaints from my side - I am tired but I'll be two weeks off as of next week. The first time in on year :woot:

So, I had a customer call in, her house burned down last night and she wanted to make sure she's not getting billed for her DSL. I dunno, if my house burned down, I'd be more concerned with other things, like trying to get a roof over my head!!

The intern sitting next to me drives me crazy - he's constantly talking to his (ex-?) girlfriend. I know that he cheated, that he is sorry and that he's begging for forgiveness ... Jesus fortunately for him, he doesn't report to me.

the curtness soon disappeared from their voice.

I keep having dreams that it's the first day of school and I have nothing planned for my classes. It's the WORST type of feeling. :bleh:

So I've decided to start planning ahead of time. I think I'll start tomorrow and try to get at least one course figured out.

Wouldn't this be better in the "dream" thread since you're not technically at work? *is envious* =T :P

I thought about that, but it's not a dream, it's more like a nightmare, and also, it's about my work, even tho I'm not at work. More than half a teacher's job is done outside of the classroom. :bleh:
