So, it's a holiday for people that took Civics or for people that taught Civics, or for people that drive a Honda Civic?? :headscratch: [/list:u]

I think you have to have all three to qualify for the holiday.

The Queen is talking to the Engineering Manager in the next office and I've heard her say "It is what it is" four times in the span of five minutes.

The Great Orator she is not. :shakehead:

Are they being paid?

They are. ’6 ($12) for ~40 min for the experiment I'm doing at the moment.

Anyway, he e-mailed me saying he couldn't get up on time because he was out last night. What pisses me off is that HE was the one that wanted to do the exp so early in the morning. I got up and went to work 1½ earlier both yesterday and today just for him! :usuck:

This customer called in and I think he might have been a redneck. At one point he said, "You know, you're the first white person I've talked to."

You mean stopped by instead of phoning in?
8 Aug 2008, 10:29 #5610
LOL! That's just hilarous! -_- I wonder if he did.

If I hadn't been a victim of racism throughout my entire childhood, I'd prolly think it was funny, too.

No, probably not.

Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I thought the part where the person coming in while he was calling in was funny. Like, who would do such a thing? HAHA! but yeah, working fast food places aren't so great either. Hopefully college can help me get a new job. I hate my managers... my bosses are ok but the managers' egos are too damn high. I hate some of the rude customers as well. It's not my fault the people who took their order messed up. They always get mad at me because I give out what's on the screen. :grumble:

I want a better job. Fast food places suck! but I guess it's a good place to start for work experience.

I dunno, I guess I sound white. No, he didn't stop by, nobody knows where our building is, they don't even have any ATT signs outside, we prefer to remain in "stealth" mode.

People go nuts sometimes. I know a field tech one time went into a customers house, the guy pointed at a gun on the coffee table and said, "Your not leaving until the DSL is working." The tech told the guy he had to go get something out of his truck, went out got in his truck and left! [/list:u]

My brother works in a job that involves doing yearly checks of smoke alarms: Some of the contracts the company has are for government housing. Some of the stories he's told me are downright scary.. he reckons the ice addicts are the worst :bleh:

Well, kids, it's "official". The "plan" is for our center to be shut down by November. We'll see how this all works out. There's a center in Riverside that they "shut down" last October. As of today, they still have people working there.
