I ended up going home sick just after lunch.

I should have stayed at home today: I'm still feeling crappy. I get the feeling i'm going to get told off today because when I left yesterday i didn't tell EVERYONE I was leaving - just our receptionist (the boss was out for a few minutes).

Wait, you're allowed to leave without getting permission?!

Sounds like a good enviornment. I have to fill out papers when I need a day off, and then get the leave approved. :bleh:

Damn, it didn't take long for me to need another vacation again.... :shakehead:

The sooner the boss retires the sooner we can have a parade... And maybe burn an effigy, to boot.

We had this discussion at work on how everybody felt their IQ dropped since the last course, training or master studies. :shamefulcry: and I could only agree.

Companies are generally really bad in exploring peoples skills and talents. :shakehead:

We've been discussing how the customers seem to be getting stupider. The other day I had this customer call in and all she said was, "I want my DSL fixed right now!!!" and then she hung up. No name, no phone number, no nothing. :shakehead: [/list:u]

When my grandmother got really old she couldnLt distinguish news/documentaries and fictional shows on TV anymore. I believe that happens to people nowadays - they have been fed on all that crap about the wonders of technology - itLs like the voodoo of our time and they see you guys as the wizards of IT or something. :shakehead: The customer in question probably reckoned you have voice recognition systems :hehe: .

I have a similar example from last week. Three of our servers broke down and we couldnLt access some files for 24h. When I explained to an internal client that our printers couldnLt prepare a brochure right on the spot because the PDF files werenLt accessible, he completely freaked out. He was like: I canLt believe that this can still happen nowadays, in a company like ours blahblahblah ...

I get in at 6:15AM... I open up the building, shut down the alarms, check my e-mail, and post on J-dorama. :beaten:

Wow, 6:15am. I'm still asleep at that time on some days. :beaten: And I thought that posting on Jdorama was your job since you seem to be here more times than not. :hehe:
