lucky you, long three day weekend, and shorter work week, unlike the rest of us. When is it Friday, end of work day yet?! :nut: :grumble:

If you can hook up with a city job, the work weeks are four days every week...

4 - 10hr days, three day work weeks :applaud: :woot: , even more cool, an appreciative boss, and decent co-workers, and work that is somewhat interesting, and a shorter commute, all of which my job is lacking big time!!!

Work is tough. 3 of 'em to be exact. Managing however though. The wife started her new job this past Monday. :D I will probably work more hours for the next 2 weeks so we can get somewhat of a "boost" in income. After those two weeks are over, I'm going to look into starting my own business. Still researching and getting the facts straight however. So two weeks may not cut it for me. But we'll see what happens. :beaten:

Hm...I work as management at Suncoast Video (movie store). I work an average 35 hours a week, but I am working 38 hours this week. I worked a 10 hour shift on Sunday. @_@ That sucked. But I usually work 9 hours a day. Today I get to work from 9:30am-4pm. Not bad at all.

I love my job actually. ^^ Aiming for store manager. I get excellent discounts too. 35% off dvds, 40% off used dvds and toys (I get anime figures sooooo cheap <3). Once in awhile we get some really crazy customers, but so does every other retail job. XP We had one lady try to return an opened dvd for her money back because she didn't like the movie. I was like "Uhh...we're not a rental store."

Cool. Being your own boss would be great.

Good luck on that, bud.

One of these days. Not physical, mind you, but verbal , i.e. my resignation...

The job market bites.

Anytime soon? Or still looking around for a replacement?

i know what you are feeling.
i used to go on the internet and play a game called "shoot the boss" and dang did i score high on that sucker. i was pressing and slamming the mouse so hard, nearly broke the computer.

right now still feel the same about this recent boss and supervisor:

:beatyou: <-- me beating the sh*t out of whoever (boss or supervisor) gets on my nerves first.

:smack: <-- boss and supervisor beating the sh*t out of each other.

*** Hang in there it will get better.

Looking. Trying to find something relatively close. 20+ mile commutes are not desirable at this point, particularly with the existing gas prices...
