And I'm really dying to get a pineapple. ;) :hehe:

And it's cheaper than buying the DVDs from those people who're basically doing what we're doing (hardsubbing/encoding/etc.) and selling them... :shakehead:

AD just offered to burn the DVDs for me and it works out great because he has a slow connection and limited downloads with his isp. Though I could still send you a pineapple if you really wanted it. :P

And I swear, this site is so generous. With all the friendly people on this site, I wish I joined it when I first visited it. (I might have even been a mod since it was so long ago! :P )

That bum beat me to the punch. :(

Well, if there's anything that he doesn't have....... Lemme know. :)

I can live without.

Like I said: we're nice people.

Most of the time.

I think this was mentioned a while back, but for those of you looking for a free do-it-all conversion program alternative to ConvertXtoDVD, there's DVD Flick: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Flick

Not sure how good it is, but I thought I give people the heads up. :)

Thanks beem, definitely worth checking out :)

OT: I had a weird result burning a DVD the other day - the picture was perfect, but the sound ended up REALLY slow. Weird :P

Bizarre.

Bad burn?

Could be.

I had a look at DVD Flick. It looks VERY similar to ConvertX. I'm going to give it a try tonight :)

*EDIT* Would probably be great, but it doesn't do menus :(

I just installed a newer version of ConvertXtoDVD. Much better subtitle support, including text border and shadows! YAY! And here's something I needed before: You can have an opaque background behind them. I downloaded a movie ages ago that was hardsubbed in Swedish :( But now I can just sub it with a background behind the subs.

You can do that with VirtualDub. :victory:

I never knew that.

Bah, ConvertX on my work comp won't work: I keep getting a "Floating point division by zero" error when I go to convert :(

Yup, you can do it. :)

Ah, got it working now.... yay.
I'm gonna update my home copy to the latest version now :)

More weirdness with ConvertX: The floating point error still occurs, but only when you save a "project" and re-open it for converting/burning later. Weird :( But it does a good job otherwise.

It sounds like that file was split up into parts, so you have to download the other parts and put them together with a program. You probably should read the instructions at the place where you got that file.
