I doubt this can be done, but I was wondering if I rip a drama series that I already have on DVD (for instance, the Seikei Bijin DVDs that beemer sent me) would it be possible to make a copy for someone else, episode chapters included? Or do I have to totally convert the episodes myself using one of those ConvertX program thingamabobs?

You don't rip it per se, you just make a direct copy of the DVD...
Are you using Nero? If so, you just use the Copy DVD selection. :)

Yup, I have Nero. So that's all I have to do??? Just "Copy DVD" and then burn the copy thingy onto another DVD? I hope so because that would be so easy and I'll be able to trade dramas instead of leeching off you, AD, Wyn, & Ralph. :D

Yup.
As long as it's not copy protected. :)
Woof.

Haha, yeah. Part of it was laziness, part of it was...procrastination. Probably more procrastination + I was working on my site a lot recently. Excuses, excuses! :shamefulcry:

kyaa!!!Thx for the great help! :victory: i'm downloading it right now..
Help! :banghead: This is driving me crazy.
I wanted to clip off a scene from an episode in Hana Kimi. I've already tried clipping videos a few times before, using VirtualDubMod, and I had no problems. But now, I don't know what's wrong, but I'm encountering problems now!
Each time I try to open an AVI file in VirtualDubMod, it gives me this error message:

As far as I know, I only have Combined Community Codec Pack installed here. I also downloaded Media Player Classic, VirtualDub 1.6.19, and VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2 All Inclusive. Is there anything wrong with my codecs?
So. I Googled for help. I came across this message board which seems to be helpful, but instructs me to install A LOT of stuff. I'm pretty confused.
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/48608
Can somebody please check it out and tell me if I should follow EVERYTHING it says? Do I really have to uninstall my current codecs and replace them with what is writte in there?
I really hope someone can help. I'm desperate.

Not sure how good CCCP is... I've always used ffdshow and I've never had a codec problem... Try installing that codec pack.
Just be sure when you do the config for the audio and video that you do NOT limit which programs can use the ffdshow codec pack... :)

So should I uninstall CCCP first before installing ffdshow?

Yeah.
I shoulda mentioned that... :banghead:
If ffdshow doesn't work for you, you can always reinstall CCCP.
I don't know how much help this might be...I watch 95% of my dramas using Gomplayer...it has the codecs built in..and it gives lots of softsub manipulation capability...

Did it work??
Is this a good disc for recording DVDs/making copies? There's a sale going on starting today and I'm so tempted to buy a bunch because of the cheap price.

Yow, that looks like a good price for Verbatims, though I've never used the 16X discs before... And I'd never burn at that speed (8X max, IMO)...
Go for it , girl. :victory:
