So you don't watch stuff on a standalone or your standalone supports x264/avi/etc...?

I converted a 60min vob to x264 (full quality) with handbrake 2 weeks ago. It took a little bit less than 2hours on an Athlon 64 X2 4200+ with 2GB ram.

Unless absolutely necessary, I just avoid the x264 stuff altogether.

I'll have to check out this site when I go home. :good:

So I used Nero to burn a DVD from .avi, and for some reason the subs didn't show, even tho they're hard...

So screw Nero.

When I go home tonight (well, prolly tomorrow, since I'm working 'till 9), I'll use the FF. I tried it last night and I got the hang of it. Now i just gotta see how long it'll take me. Thanks for the help, guys!

How's that possible?

I think that you think that they're hardsubs, but they're not.

Eh? There wasn't a seperate .srt (or .ssa or .ass) file. Just the .avi file...

Hmm.

But a hardsubbed file has the subtitles embedded in the video... :headscratch:

That's queer.
