Didn't realize the 16X-ers were so bad... I only buy the 8X silver ones. :fingerscrossed:

I'm guessing that program will try to fit in as much as you give it... Better check the video/audio quality: it might be significantly degraded.

It is. :shamefulcry: Can I change that?

Yup, I think so...

Pack less episodes per disc... For one-hour (45 minutes, actually) dramas, I put no more than four episodes per disc... I think that's the best trade-off between quality and space used. :)

Ohhhhhhh okay.

Looks like I'll have to re-convert and burn everything I did so far. No worries, just all of Cori's order. :beaten: :shamefulcry:

You didn't read the posts to cori from before: always burn a test disc using a DVDRW... Saves you from waste.

Ahhhhhh well. I did limit the number of episodes for Attention Please on my own, I just wish I had thought of it earlier. No worries, I always learn the hard way. :beaten:

Office Max discs?

Hmm.

You might try the Ritek 8X or ProDisc 8X DVD-Rs from Supermediastore... Geez and I have used those with good results. :)

Also, if you buy larger quantities, you'll save more per disc... I rmember Eltinator saying he bought discs from Supermediastore in spindles of 500...:beaten:

Maxell are made by Ritek. Most brand are actually made by another company.

At shop4tech, you can have 1000 for $220. :metaldevil: They're crap tho.

Yup, some manufacturers OEM their stuff to other companies... DVDInfo can ID the place of origin of those discs... :)

What brand? GQ (Fry's brand :bleh: )?

I feel so bad that you're going through so much trouble just to make the discs for me. And eek! That sucks that you used regular DVD blanks instead of rewriteables. I did that too when I first started out and they turned out to be coasters. :shamefulcry:

I wish I had your attitude. I was a bit frustrated when I found out that my blanks turned into coasters. Thank goodness beem suggested the DVD-RWs or I probably would've given up on authoring my own DVDs.

I need to downloading a burning program for Vista. Any suggestions?

On windowsXP I used Nero, and it worked superbly, but the new Nero isn't compatable with Vista, so I need another one.

What do you guys use?

I've found ExpressBurn, which I downloaded and it seems easy to use. I'll try burning something when bro leaves for work.

Another strike against Vista.

When burning DVD-video, I used the embedded burner in TMPGEnc DVD Author... For regular data (e.g. raws), I use Nero Express.

Check Videohelp.com for burning programs. :)

Thanks, I'll check that out if Express Burn doesn't work! I'm sending Geez Damens Walker so I'll experiment with that one. It's just a copy of a DVD.

Does that have subs?

He sent me the raws ages ago, but no subs were available for me to hardsub it.
