No no! I refuse. The comically large mongoose head is way cuter than cat ears!

Btw.. I'm really enjoying swing girls so far - I'm about halfway through.

The scene in the supermarket where Juri's eating the samples is hilarious. And the still shots from the boar chase are great!

She's really cute.. I can't deny it.

Good times... with a snarl like that, I'm sure she was a handful :)

Hang on, let me get this straight!

You stopped watching Swing Girls halfway through, so you could post to this thread?

What the hell is wrong with you?

I watch things at my computer.. and I stopped in the middle to go do my dishes. I am a crazy multi-tasker anyways - I just paused it to do like 5 other things on my computer for a second and I saw you responded to my post, so I want be nice and respond in short order :)

I'm really enjoying it ... even though it's really silly and campy.

Love those pigtails. Love the school uniforms. Love Juri-chan.

'Nuff said.

I apologize if I was brusque...
I'm from an old school of movie watching...the whole thing, from beginning to end , no interruptions!
particularly, Swing Girls in this case...it has some serious plot holes that would be more obvious if you did'nt watch it straight through...

It matters not...the end is all...and the end of this movie is one of the best of all time!!!!!!!!!

She was... And a tomboy... And cute as a button.

Ugh, now I'm depressed. :puppydog:

Hehe.. no worries. I'm definitely of a different thinking - I usually watch almost anything that doesn't have subtitles while playing a game (freecell at the very least.. but often Action RPGs or puzzle games) and will often sub things like forum checkups or webpage browsing during my experience. When I work, I often share the same screen with a spreadsheet, browser, word doc, and media player... And 10 things going on in the background :)

So what do you like so much about the end of the movie? (I'm also posting in the Swing Girls thread - I'll post a little review over there)

I've only dated one real tomboy girl and that was really only 2 or 3 dates. She was nearly as tall as I am (6'2") and did modeling and other feminine stuff.. but was a total tomboy at heart.

Don't be depressed. Enjoy the fact that you can still remember that she was cute as a button (funny.. that phrase evokes images of button mushrooms as the cute thing, rather than little plastic clothing retention devices). I think that every finished relationship just adds something to remember - we are the sum of our experiences and any experience had is better than one forgone.

That mongoose costume with it's over-sized belly button give the phrase 'Cute as a Button' a whole new meaning.

Hard to be philosophical about it at times... One of those wounds that never heals.

Now that's a fan... And sadly, I've known the piece since I was a kid.. but can't remember the composer. Sounds middle-late romantic piano concerto. Maybe Liszt or Chopin?

Man 'racer, if I had known the screencaps would've caused a bit of heartache, I would've posted a whole hell of a lot more :victory:

The two go over their epic battle for Chiaki. Too bad it didn't make the final cut. :(

I agree, Swing Girls should be definitely watched. However, it is recommended that dishes be done before viewing
