Aw...I hope you get some time to play soon. :puppydog:

I got to complete the section i'd been holding off doing.

But my son is still monopolising the PS2: he's taken a liking to Ratchet & Clank on one of the demo discs you sent me :puppydog:

Alrighty, so I took a break from Oblivion (SO HUGE!) and started Enchanted Arms. THe fight sequence is annoying, but I like the actual game and story! I played almost hte entire day yesterday...

Call of Duty 4 is tops on my current PC play list. :P

Btw, I don't know if it's okay to post this here, but I play some Initial D Arcade Stage 4 in the arcades. Not sure if this is the right place to post though... but here's a simple run of me playing the game on one of the maps. Filmed by my team mate, driven by yours truly.

I themed the video after Sukai Hai (Sky High the movie 2003) with Shaku Yumiko as the main portions of the video's intro and ending... it's not really much, but just to show my craziness as her fanboy. =X :bonk:

BGMs used:
1) JYONGRI - Kissing Me
2) Aikawa Nanase - Lovin' You (really old song!)

Ack! :bonk: Aw, sorry you're currently barred from the machine. I'm pleased to have converted someone to the Ratchet And Clank cause though, I have to say. If your son likes the demo, he's going to LOVE the game it comes from. Better hope he doesn't get it, I suppose.

A very nice video, Fuwari! :victory: I'm terrible at stuff involving driving.
I'd like to be able to record my playing stuff straight off the tv, and post on YouTube (I have an account there). I dunno how to do it, though.

Oh yeah, and you're like the millionth person I've seen singing the praises of Call Of Duty 4.

I finished Ratchet And Clank TOD. It was the shortest game I've ever played. And the easiest. The final boss only took me 2 attempts to defeat, and about 5 minutes! (That's good going for me).
On other R & C games on PS2, the final bosses have taken up to half an hour, and a lot more work to defeat.
I'm currently going through the game on challenge mode. So far, there's been no noticeable difference in difficulty.

Nah, it's all good. I doubt he'll buy it yet, because he's trying to save money :fingerscrossed: As long as I can get a few hours a week on it, i'll be happy :)

Lol, that's ok then. I was worried you might be cursing the day the demos came into your house. :D

Actually, I did try a RPG on one of them, but I didn't like it.. And it is his PS2, after all :grumble:

He was considering buying a TV for his room so he could play it in there. But I talked him out of that :hehe:

Gulp! I recently sold some stuff I didn't want on ebay. I made enough dough to get a buy-it-now copy of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
(I've yet to receive it).

I am so so so hoping I haven't been foolish. :puppydog: It's just I've been seduced into it by all the love for the game I've seen here and elsewhere. So if I hate it, I'll hold certain Jdorama members partly responsible. :hehe:

LOL! Okaasan, I take FULL responsibility if you hate the game, because I'm certain that you'll LOVE IT! It's really huge tho. I'm taking a break because every time I played, I seemed to get further and further from the main quest. :hehe:

Hehe! It's possibly not wise to offer to take all the potential blame. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry. :hehe:
As well as you and Kitakaze, I've seen loads of other people raving about the game. And it just sounds so wonderful.
I also watched a nice video of a bit of gameplay that someone had posted on YouTube, which further whetted my appetite.

Wynter, do you know how far along you got with the game? I understand it can take over 100 hours.
If that's true, it'll take me forever, but hopefully I'll enjoy it. :fingerscrossed:

I must be... about 30 hours into it. Because it's so large, you pic up lots of quests, and it's up to you whether you want to do them or not. (that's another great thing about this game!)

So you have the one major quest, and then a lot of small ones. I like doing the small ones, so it's taken me awhile. I also like battling in the arena. So that takes time.
19 Feb 2008, 02:40 #3037
Wynter, don't worry if you complete the main quest...the game never actually ends. The main storyline ends like a normal game, but you can keep playing afterwards, ala Grand Theft Auto 3, so you can finish all the quests. Even if you finsh all the quests, there are still all the castles and caves to explore, and they repopulate after a few days of gametime, so you can go back in if you want.

Don't worry Keps, you should like it...hopefully. I'll take some of the blame with Wynter. :hehe:

Oh, I see. So 30 hours is not even like halfway through. Gosh, even more fab-sounding stuff about this game. I like the idea of lots of little quests, especially. Not so keen on battling...mainly because I'm sucky at boss fights.

Lol, that's very kind of you.

I've begun Tenchu: Wrath Of Heaven on my PS2. I've had the game ages, but just started it properly today. It's looking good, but the killing people is quite vivid and gory. Like, blood spurting copiously from someone's chect while they go "argggggggggggghhhhhhhhh!".

Random question: has anyone played Devil May Cry 4? (Or any of the DMC games?). I'm sure the game's not for me, but I read it's extremely difficult, and I wondered if anyone can confirm that.

 Funny!
I'll have to say that winning battles in FFX is nothing like that. Usually the beaten "monster" or whatever will just wither away, or get knocked over or off screen.. It's also quite a long game, i'm over 20 hours in and only about 1/4 of the way through, or at least I think so.
