Hey, isn't the rent in SoCal the same as up here? I'm sure BMW will only charge you half...say, 600 a month, lol. :beaten:

Not that you know me or anything, haha. I've been AWOL off these boards for a year.

Haha, I'd just make you take the couch or the floor. Problem solved. :hehe:

Couch? What couch? Haha. Although I don't object to sleeping on the floor. My sleeping bag is more comfortable than my bed.

Oh, and I mean studio. One bedroom is way out of my price range still

Stop posting the same time as me!!! You're contributing to making me double post!! :beatyou:

And as for rent, it doesn't seem that bad, I guess.

Oi, a studio? That's going to be hard as I like my privacy. But how's the hallway working for you? (I'm such a sweet gal, aren't I? :beaten: )

That's probably low.

I think apartments in the area are around $900+ per month.

Hi guys! This is my first time posting in this particular thread. Hehehe. And this is only because something happened to me that should go in this category.

Ok, so a friend of mine sets me up on a blind date. Well, not really a blind date because I met the guy once before. Having nothing better do to and since I haven't really gone on a date in a long time, I decided to give it a shot. So we go to CPK in Newport to have dinner and that was nice. He seemed like a really nice, decent guy. Kinda cute, too.

After dinner, he asks me to go for a drive along the coast and I say, sure, why not. I like driving up and down PCH, it gives me good thinking time. But when he pulled over to the side and parks the car. At this point, I'm like, "Ok, what's going on? He's not gonna do what I think he's gonna do is he?" Sure enough, he does. He leans over and kisses me, trying to make out with me.

First of all, I don't kiss guys I barely know on the first date, let alone make out. It's just weird for me and totally uncomfortable. I was honestly shocked and a little afraid because I've never had that happened to me before. I was totally creeped out. After I asked him to stop and take me back to my car, I felt myself shaking afterwards and hyperventilating. I'm probably making this sound worse than it really was but I can't help but feel so weird about it. I must be really naive because I should have seen something like that coming.

And that's why I don't go on blind dates, in general. I find myself in situations that I wished would never happen.

But he said half, so i thought that they charged $1,200 for a studio, which I think is rather high. Oh wait, I probably got confused along the way. :bonk:

Yeah...first date? That guy thought he could be as fast as his car, obviously. I might hold hands if we go walking and looking at shops as part of a first date, but no kissing. Although, if the woman decided to, I doubt I'd resist :beaten: .

Well, for mine, it's $750 a month. Only because I'm in low-cost housing in a relatively not-so-nice area, haha.

Yikes, MissyMon... Glad things didn't get way, way out of control...

That's really presumptuous of him... Some guys sure do work fast...

Maybe you should refer to him as The Microwave... :beaten:

Yea, me too. And he had the nerve when he dropped me off at my car to tell me to call him sometime. NOPE. :bleh:

LOL. The Microwave. I love it! :hehe:

MissMonika: I would definitely react the same way that you did. On a blind date, hell, even a first date with someone I know, I probably wouldn't kiss the guy either..unless it was a small peck on the cheek. What a jerk this guy turned out to be and I'm sorry that you went through that experience. :(

Guy sounds like a really self-centered jerk and certified dumbass. Although it was traumatic, it was probably best that you found out what kind of guy he was early on. Hope you are doing ok after that traumatic experience.

What an idiot! But there are more than a few of those. I hope it isnt still creeping you out.
As the saying goes, to meet your handsome Prince be prepared to kiss, or avoid being kissed, by a few toads!! ;)

Yep yep. But no, I'm totally fine, thanks everyone! Yea, it's still creeping me out since it only happened last night, but I'll get over it eventually.

He sure did kiss like a toad. When I got home, I brushed my teeth for like 15 minutes because I felt so dirty.

Eeek.

So full decontamination procedures were warranted...
