Well they got this place in Vegas called "Sushimon" where it is all you can eat sushi. The good thing is that its made fresh as you order it, but the bad thing is its $25! Personally I dont mind paying that much cause the food is good.

I gotta check that place out next month when I go out there...

$25 isn't that bad for sushi, especially good sushi... It costs me that and maybe more when I go to my local place here...

Tonight's menu: Kamoseiro (duck broth and noodles) vs. Chinese dipping noodles.

Right now, neither looks very appetizing. :beaten:
15 May 2005, 11:58 #470
Kamoseiro wins, 5-2.

Ho-hum. :beaten:

i didn't see the episode but you say noodles.. was it regular noodles? if it was regular noodles... eh... prefer Udon over regular noodles.
18 May 2005, 01:55 #472
The kamoseiro used soba, I believe, and the Chinese dipping noodles used regular ramen noodles. :)

Another noodle challenge this week:

Nameko oroshi soba vs. Banbanji cold noodles...

So far, I'm not impressed by either.

I kind of think that nameko oroshi soba looks pretty good. I don't know, I'm not extremely impressed with either one at the moment though.

Noodles are nice and all that, but wanna see stuff that you can really sink your teeth into and enjoy...
22 May 2005, 11:56 #476
Yow, the Banbanji cold noodles win in a rout, 7-0....
30 May 2005, 09:14 #477
Yow, completely forgot to post yesterday's episode: Fried fish sandwich vs. hot dog....

The fish sandwich won, 4-3.

Neither looked too good: the fish sandwich had so many condiments you probably couldn't taste the fish, and the hot dog looked more like a Polish dog...

And no decent person would put ketchup on a hot dog. :beaten:

I don't think they show this program up here anymore. I tuned in at 9pm and saw what I think is Rikon Bengoshi, and at 10pm is Sekai no Chuushin de...

Not that they ever got English subtitles for it.
