The pork does look better, and doesn't that guy in the brown jacket look a lot like the crook that ran Live Door?

Hai hai. :hehe:
Picked up a new Mitsuwa ad today... Looks like next week's battle is about desserts: flan vs. parfait, I think.

Didn't they just have chocolate cake and shortcake a couple weeks ago? I'm beginning to think this show is sponsered by the Japanese Dentists' Association
made that ginger pork last night, it turned out not too bad. :victory:

Must be a small group, considering the number of j-idols with bad teeth. :hehe:
hmm.. does that mean the Welcome to the NHK song is about pudding? :hehe:

To me as well. I don't know if they lump all "pudding-like" dishes. But that sure looks like flan, even the caramel looking top.
So my pops showed me an article in the chinese newspaper about Dotch yesterday.. seems the new format was because of declining viewership, and less sponsors.. the places they show you in those segments pay a fee to be included in the show.

No surprise: how many different ramen dishes can you have to compete against each other?

Sounds about right.
So it's not really a contest with really great dishes, rather a televised commercial of places that gives the dough to be on the show?
seems that way, at least from the articles POV.
Does anyone have the answers to the following questions re: Dotch cooking show?
1. How popular is this show in Japan?
2. When is this show broadcast on Japanese TV?
3. How long does it actually take to tape one show?
