I'm going to try and copy the disc on my mac first, and if that doesn't work, then I'll try ISObuster. :victory:
Good luck. :victory:

I'm copying a DVD that was copied for me. I'm using nero.

ISObuster will identify the errors, try to correct them and/or overwrite the errors with known data so that the disc will be readable (though you might see a slight glitch in the video depending on how bad the error is...

I used to use Nero before I realized that it wasn't able to copy a bunch of DVDs. Now I use DVD Decrypter, which is able to copy majority of the time, but in some instances, Nero works when DVD Decrypter doesn't.

I need to try this to see if it's able to copy certain DVDs. Does it work on VCDS too?
bmwracer wrote:
Yup... ISObuster works for all media: CD/DVD/DVD-RAM.... Not sure about HD media, though.
cori wrote:Awesome! I'm going to try this some time soon. I hope. :fingerscrossed:

Wynter wrote:It worked! I managed to rip and burn the DVD on my mac! I'm now gonna go ahead and try with another disc that was also giving my problems. :woot:
The only downfall is that my mac takes double the time as my sister's PC, since she has the better and faster burner. :bleh:

But isn't your Mac practically brand new? :headscratch:
Wynter wrote:My mistake, I meant my lappy. :D
Tho I don't think my new mac would have been any better. I should try it out.
bmwracer wrote:
You should.
Hmm, I thought you bought a new laptop, 'cause your LCD screen was tanking...?
Wynter wrote:Yea, you said this before, and I thought I had cleared that up...
My LCD on my lappy is terrible, but instead of buying a new lappy, I bought an iMac, with the 24 " monitor, remember? :hehe:
bmwracer wrote:
Oh yeah, I remember the 24" monitor.
I guess a new laptop is in the queue somewhere, ne?
Wynter wrote:lol yup, i'll prolly get it after a buy a new car.
bmwracer wrote:
Off topic, but what's up with that?
Wynter wrote:my laptop works fine, and still has a lot of juice, it's just all those stupid lines down the screen. It's still handy for work that doesn't require visuals, like word processing. You can't see the lines against a white background. But when watching images, the lines really get annoying.

I'll reply in the Cars thread. :victory:

On topic: I think I'll try using the beem's suggestion on how to edit commercials from a drama some time this weekend because I'm getting slightly annoyed at the large amount of them in a Sano Shiro drama. :grumble: Be prepared for a ton of questions. :beaten:
bmwracer wrote:
Be sure to hardsub it BEFORE trimming out the commercials, else the subs won't sync up. :P
Editing is a breeze, anyways: set your start point, set your end point, then cut... The software joins the two ends together automatically... Repeat as often as necessary. :)
